Craigwie
Day
Centre
With springtime in the air, we've
had all kinds of activities bursting
out z,t the Craigwicl Day Centre for
Seniors.
April being National Joke
Month, we've gone home several
days chuckling even though our
sides were sore from all the laugh-
ing - but we're awfully good for the
shape we're in!
We'd share some of our jokes
with you, but it just wouldn't be
the same as hearing it and seeing
the reactions from the group!
Memory Lane has been a popular
feature. One day we brought our old
readers and read each other some fa-
vorite stories. That was just thc be-
ginning. From there we swapped
stories about favorite and least fa-
vorite teachers, anDjeven got around
to talking about first dates.
Do you know what pitch holes
arc? - and the effect hitting one can
have if a girl is sitting on her fella's
lap in the cutter? Seems to me scat
belts could have had some advan-
` Cage in a cutter too!
Dr. Hoch was here to tell us we
may be younger than we think. Our
body cells keep growing until about
100 years of age, so we decided we
might as well stay busy and make
use of them.
Evelyn McNaughton came to take
us on an armchair "Cruise on the
Danube". Too bad she couldn't
bring along her friendly tour guide.
We even serenaded our coordinator
for her birthday and got to share her
birthday cakc. We just hope there
were no hidden twists to the nature
of the gift!
There's hardly a day goes by that
some don't take advantage of the
full treatment from "head to toc"
and come back to thc whistles and
compliments of the others.
Even without thc extras, we have
testimony that "My day at the Cen-
tre brightens my whole week!"
WHICH WAY TO THE WEDDING? - Mary Ducharme and Chris Swart
