Letters tothe Editor To the Editor: In response to the column "On The Street" in your April 13, 1988 edition, perhaps Mr. Beckett should have researched his information be- fore speaking in generalities about banking hours an(1 tellers. Staggered lunch hours arc com- • mon place at a number of financial institutions; extended hours are pro- vided at,sevcril and lineups are rare 4. to nonexistent. Might I add that advertising per- sonnel arc not always at the beck and call of the public they serve: taut if service is provided promptly, efficiently and courteously, as it is at many financial institutions, then customers will return. If not they have the option of finding a new place of business. Sincerely, Wcndi Schwindt.
