Sale? Maybe your group or organi-
zation would like to take part and
earn some funds. If so please call
the Village Office at 262-2812 very
soon. It doesn't cost anything to be
included on the map, and you will
receive lots of free publicity for
your sale. More listings mean more
customers.
Library
Magician Michael Ross will be
performing this Friday afternoon at
the Hensall Library. Tickets are
only $1 each and may be purchased
in advance or at the door. -
This is "Forgiveness week" at the
Hensall Library so dust off all of
those overdue books and return
.them by Saturday or use the Book --
Drop. Forgiveness Week ends this
Saturday. There will be another sto-
ry time for 3-5 year olds at the Li-
brary next Monday at 11 a.m. No
pre -registration is needed.
Kinettes
Pack your suitcase! You might be
off on a surprise Mystery Trip.
Hensall and District Kinettes are
sponsoring a suitcase dance on Fri-
day, April 22 at the Hensall Arena.
Proceeds will go to Cystic Fibrosis
and Community Service.
If you are the lucky couple you
will leave at midnight for a mystery
weekend valued at $1050.00. Other
prizes will be awarded throughout
the evening: dinner for two at Ro-
bindales, Blue -Jay tickets and Hu-
ron Country Playhouse tickets.
You must be in attendance to win.
Tickets are available from Hensall
Kinette members and will also be
available at the door.
Three Links
A splendid pot -luck supper was
the start of the April meeting for
the Hensall Three Links Senior Cit-
izens last Tuesday evening.

Roberta Templeman presided for
the annual meeting of the Staffa
•Women's Institute hosted by Es-
ther Smalc in her home on Monday
evening April 11 with 16 members
present. Roberta opened with
a reading "Advertisement". for
Women's Institute, Marion McCau-
ghey was pianist.
Members answered the roll call by
the payment of fees and telling
which meeting this past year they
had enjoyed the most. Lillian Doug-
las gave two readings "It's hard to
Imagine," and A , ricnd".
Some verinteresting painting
hints were given by Margaret Day-
nard, including the types of paint
-available, different types of paint
brushes and sand paper, even a dis-
posable brush head and two types of
edgers.
During business the different
committees working on the 85th
anniversary reported on their
progress. Esther showed some repair
work she had completed on the
Tweedsmuir books and the members
recommended •that she purchase a
new scrapbook and plastic holders
for pictures.
Florence McPhail presided for the
reports and installation ccremdny.
Program 'co-ordinator Joyce Vivian
had an excellent report along with
the treasurer, public relations office,
Tweedsmuir curator and 'resolutions
convener.
Grace Kerslake presented the slate
of officers for the coming year
which wcrc accepted and installed.
Lunch was served by Florence
McPhail and Esther Smalc.

Residents enjoyed playing Bingo
Monday afternoon with the Hensall
Presbyterian Ladies.
Tuesday we welcomed Pastor
Alles of Zurich Lutheran Church as
h6 led our worship service. We
would like to thank Phyllis Desjar-
cline for being our volunteer pia-
nist.
Queensway Ladies Auxiliary met
on Wednesday morning and we dis-
cussed preparations for the Hensall
yard Sale in May. I can tell you
that Queensway's table is one you
won't want to miss. in the after-
noon baking club met and stirred
up a batch of delicious chocolate
Chip cookies.
On Thursday morning Rest
Home. ladies visited in the sun
loom as they waited to get mani-
cures. A special thank you to Vel-
ma Robinson and Daisy Baraclough
for volunteering their services for
this activity. We look forward to
having them back again in two
weeks. Thursday afternoon Joyce
Pepper came in as our pianist at
choir practice.
"The Yearling" was our featured
movie Thursday evening. A golden
oldie starring Jane Wyman.
There was lots of excitement on
Friday as several residents and vol-
unteers journeyed via Ellison Van
to London Gardens to sec the Gar-
den Brothers Circus. A noisy, glit-
tering, exciting experience. Our
scats wcrc situated at the entrance
where each act came in. It was quitc
something to be almost arm'.

phants. A big thank you to Wilma
Rea and Jo Ann Brandcrhorst for
being our volunteer helpers on this
trip.
We have started saving grocery
tapes from Solway's. Darlings
i.G.A. and EMA grocery stores.
We can redeem these tapes and re-
ceive a percentage in cash. We
would appreciate your help with
this fund raising project. Any tapes
can be dropped off in our boxes sit-
uated in our main entrance.

-Senior Citizens of Ontario at Varna
last Wednesday, accompanied by
Evelyn Flynn, Dorothy Brintncll,
Anita Bcngough and Annie Ried.

Carl and Hilda Payne visited with
his 'sister and husband, Mr. and
Mrs. Ross Bcrdan at Union on Sun-
day and were pleased to find them •
both in good health. They also vis-
ited with his cousin Florence and
her husband Sam Fitch in Fingal.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray(nond Parr of
Corunna enjoyed a visit with their
cousins Babe McGregor and Glen
and Pearl McKnight an Saturday.
Mrs. Barbara Plumb and son
Monty attended the funeral of Barb's
brother-in-law Kenneth Loftus of
Richmond Hill on Wednesday.
The residents of Northcrest would
like to welcome Helen Anderson to
her new aparunent.

London and Mrs. Nan Britton of
Northcrest travelled to Seaforth on
Sunday to visit with Mr. and Mrs.
Bob McMillan.
Bryany O'Connor enjoyed his
stay recently with his parents Jack
and- Clara O'Connor. The senior
O'Connors drove their son home to
Jonquiere, Quebec and then travelled
to Kirkland Lake to visit Jack's
Mother before returning home.
Margaret Mole attended the 80th
birthday party for her sister -in -taw
Viola Hcndy.last Sunday at the An-
glican Church Hall in Exeter.
