Hello from the residents and staff
of the Villa. The grass is beginning
to turn green and the spring flowers
arc budding. We have enjoyed the
daffodils from last week's Cancer
Society canvas. They have really
brightened our diningroom and
made us look forward to warm
weather.
The Pathfinders hosted an evening
of_games last Wednesday. Residents
enjoyed a Targe variety of games
followed by our usual Wednesday
evening popcorn. Rev. Henry Va-
nessan of the Bethel •"Reformed
Church conducted our weekly work-
shop services.
Residents enjoyed ttie antics of
Shirley Temple in the movie
"Curly Top". We arc looking for-
ward to watching more of her mo-
vies in the future. Everyone has en-
joyed the warm days as more of us
are able to venture outside. We have
started our seedlings for our flower
beds. We arc patiently waiting for
them to appear.
• Residents and staff extend thcir
sympathy to staff member, Wanda
Reynolds, in the recent Toss of her
mother. Our thoughts and prayers
arc with you.
Thought of the week: There is
now a new margarine on the market
for people over forty. It is called
"The middle age spread".

The Funland Band started four
years ago as a hobby for Paul Em-
bro, Dominic DiGravio and John
Tonin. Things went so well with
the group and they generated so
much enthusiasm, The Funland
Band decided to jump in with both
paws, so to speak!
Since that time, The Funland
Band docs a great job of combining
theatre, fantasy and music. Just so
the kids won't forget about the good
time they've had, Paul Embro will
arrange to leave packages of activi-
ties and pictures for colouring for
the kids and teachers.
The Funland Band Concerts are
generously sponsored. by The Vil-
lage of Grand Bend.
Tickets for this fun -filled day are
available by calling the Playhouse
at 238-8387.
