The show of the year in Exeter
The show "of the year in
Exeter!
That's the phrase used by
Exeter Optimist Mark-
Heimrich in describing the
third annual Exeter Home
and Garden Show.
Heimrich who. is club and
show secretary-teasurer
predicts • the show sched-
uled for Friday, Saturday
and Sunday, April 8, 9 and
10 will be bigger and better
than ever.
The show hours are 7
p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday; 12
noon to 10 p.n1. Saturday
and 12 noon until 6 p.m.
on Sunday.
While the first two years
of the show were very suc-
cessful organizers are con-
tinuing their efforts to pro-
vide something new this
year.
In talking about changes,
Heimrich said, " We are
pleased this year in being'
able to diversify with a
number of new displays.
There will be a number of
booths with totally differ-
ent products from previous
years. With these addi-
tions I ani s will
have something for every-
body."
The efforts of the Opti-
mists are two fold. While
they are attempting to pro-
vide a first class show, it is
their major fund raising
project • each year and all
profits go to assist youth
oriented groups in the com-
munity..
The main benefactors o7.-
the
'the Optimists donations arc
minor sports and the Boy
Scouts and Girl Guides or-
ganizations.
Although there will be
some diversification from
last year's show, about 75
percentof the exhibitors are
returning and some have
asked for additional space.
This points out the impor-
tance they put on the show
in publicizing - their prod-
ucts.
anyone.
A survey of the 85 exhibi-
tors after last year's show,
indicated every. one was
pleased with the general
layout, attendance, re-
sponse and servic.;F and
those who stop in at their
displays.
There will be door prizes
awarded every hour and the
grand prize winner selected
at the end of the three-day
show will receive five $100
