That's the phrase used by Exeter Optimist Mark- Heimrich in describing the third annual Exeter Home and Garden Show. Heimrich who. is club and show secretary-teasurer predicts • the show sched- uled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 8, 9 and 10 will be bigger and better than ever. The show hours are 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday; 12 noon to 10 p.n1. Saturday and 12 noon until 6 p.m. on Sunday. While the first two years of the show were very suc- cessful organizers are con- tinuing their efforts to pro- vide something new this year. In talking about changes, Heimrich said, " We are pleased this year in being' able to diversify with a number of new displays. There will be a number of booths with totally differ- ent products from previous years. With these addi- tions I ani s will have something for every- body." The efforts of the Opti- mists are two fold. While they are attempting to pro- vide a first class show, it is their major fund raising project • each year and all profits go to assist youth oriented groups in the com- munity.. The main benefactors o7.- the 'the Optimists donations arc minor sports and the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides or- ganizations. Although there will be some diversification from last year's show, about 75 percentof the exhibitors are returning and some have asked for additional space. This points out the impor- tance they put on the show in publicizing - their prod- ucts. anyone. A survey of the 85 exhibi- tors after last year's show, indicated every. one was pleased with the general layout, attendance, re- sponse and servic.;F and those who stop in at their displays. There will be door prizes awarded every hour and the grand prize winner selected at the end of the three-day show will receive five $100 xeter - Home aim! -Garden Show . .. Exeter, Ontario Adults -$2.0O Children 10 yrs and under Free When accompanied by an adult C'/ OESNEERD DBTTHT OPTIMIST CLUB , • Over the first two years, many exhibitors have been surprised with the quality and professionalism of the displays and are making certain their own are of the highest quality so they won't take a back seat to were interested in booking for the next show. Several of the 85 exhibi- tors will be offering "show specials" that will result in substantial savings for those interested and many hold free draws for all certificates which can be re- -deemed with any of the ex- hibitors. Optimist Don Winter has lined up an excellent array of demonstrations through- out the three days. At 7.30 Friday night and again Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon Ron Heimrich of Zurich will be providing wallpapering hints. Each of Heimrizh's presentations in the Rec Centre auditorium will be followed by a demonstra- tion on planting annuals and shrubs by .Ben Hoo- genboom of Exeter Flow- ers. On-going demonstrations on the ice surface will in- clude ceramic tile laying by Moffatt and Powell and re - glazing and repairs of wood windows by Harold De Vries. " The Exeter police depart- ment will havea display in the foyer of the Rec Centre with videos on home se- curity with officers and auxiliary officers on hand to answer questions. Also available will be phone stickers and other informa- tion handouts along with the Optimists Opti -Bot. Also available will be in- formation on the South Huron Big Brothers and Sisters and Co -Op housing and convert to rent hous- ing. Admission .prices remain the same at $2 for adults and children under 12 years will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
