Thought for the week: Smiling is contagious.- frowning outrageous.- Brazilians utrageous: Brazilians write prayer day theme "Open Doors" is the theme for the 1988 World Day of Praycr as it enters its second century. Written for world-wide use by the women by Brazil, it focuses on the eco- nomic and spiritual conditions in the world today. Christian men and women in 170 countries will gain spiritual strength and comfort as they join in global prayer on March 4. A special children's service on the same theme, prepared for the first time this year with children themselves, will be used in Canada by schools, Sunday Schools, Yo'rth Groups and other youth or- ganizations. A Targe print service and a taped service are available for use in in- stitutions and nursing homes. It is expected that these will be widely used again this year. Canadians have been involved with WDP since 1919. This prayer movement, sponsored in Canada by the Women's Inter -Church Council of Canada, has become a tradition. Let us expand the scope of the service in every community of this nation.
