Cartoon movies were shown along with treats of chocolate milk and bags of candy which'wcre hand- ed out by St. Nick. Thanks to the.rncn from the Li- ons Club and the donation from the Chamber of Commerce who make this event possible each year. Bean Sprouts The children of the Bean Sprouts Nursery School entertained their parents, grandparents and friends to a Christmas program and refresh- ments at the Township Ilall last Wednesday evening. Ladies bowling Our ladies bowling team (The Pin - Poppers) enjoyed our annual Christ- mas party on Friday evening, begin- ning with a delicious dinner at the Oakwood Inn, Grand Bend followed by a social evening at the home of Helene Ducharme. Paper drive The regular monthly paper drive will be held as usual on the last Thursday of December (ncw Year's Eve) beginning around 6:30 p.m. 1t is held by the boys' club from the Mennonite Church. The summer had just past. in the summer it had been dry with very few rainfalls. So therefore not many plants grew. So now that it is win- ter it is very hard to collect food for hibernation. It was Christmas Eve already. • They had tried lots of ways to get food but didn't. The next morning they all woke up to go looking for food again. Right when they got out the door. It ate marches and mazurkas, it ate.rhapsodies and reels, minuets and tarantellas were the staples of its meals, but the Diatonic Ditty - munch outdid itself one day it ate a three -act opera, and loudly passed away. Some Youth members from the Lutheran church went around town singing Christmas carols on Friday evening and had a nice get together at the parsonage afterwards with snacks and refreshments. The Christmas staff •dinner and party for General Coach in Hcnsall was held at the Oakwood Inn, Grand Bend on Friday night, with the bus picking up several in Zurich who at- tended.. Mozart and I larie Gelinas Sr. and „Jerome and Cannel Sweeney enjoyed Sunday dinner and the day in Dor- chester at the new horns of Marc and Cindy Gelinas along with Kcva and Sharon Silverstein of London. The annual Lions Ladies Night Christmas dinner and party was held at the -Dominion Tavern on Friday December 18 with a good at- tendance. All cnjoycd the delicious meal and social evening afterwards.
