A four goal rally by Thamesford
made Hawks' Sunday night game an
interesting spectacle, but it didn't di-
minish the efforts of Lovie, who
scored four consecutive goals in the
second and third periods.

Unable to draw from big centres
because of their location, and faced
with competition from other organi-
zations such as Exeter Hawks, the
club succumbcd to general lack of
interest.
Marriage maintained that the team
was riot in financial trouble, but he
noted that they might have been had
they opted to finish the season.
The manager expressed the opin-
ion that, with a good Peewee team
on the rise, Clinton may be able to
ice a decent team again two or three
years down, the road, provided the
league will allow them back into its
ranks.
Mustangs will likely lose $250
. and $100 bonds Icft with the OHA
d the Western Junior D league.
Clinton last won the OHA cham-
pionship in 1964. The modern
Mustangs started operations in 1971
and switched to the Junior C level
where they stayed until 1984. At
that time, under pressure from Clin-
ton fans wishing to see more local
talent and from the financial burden
of running a Junior C,club, Mus-
tangs reverted to their Junior D
standing.
This season after 21 games, Mus-
tangs have a record of three wins
and 18 losses. Two of those three
wins came in ijte first two games of
the season when the team had a full
roster. Since that time, the high
school hockey season has opened
and two new Midget teams have
been formed in the Clinton arca.
