Pentecostal WM meets The regular monthly, meeting of the Women's Ministries of the Pen- tecostal Church was held at the home of Mrs. Ruth McLaren with 10 members present. Mrs. Jean Tri- ebner opened the meeting by sing- ing the choruses "Yesterday, today, Forever", "Mine, Mine, Mine, Je- sus is Mine" and "Everybody ought to know who Jesus is". Mrs. Hilda Eizenga offered Prayer. The roll call was answered by scripture verses containing the word, "Strength". The minutes of the last meeting were read by Mrs. Ada Triebner. The financial report was also read in the absence of Mrs. Jean Jolly and Miss Marion Trieb- ner. Letters from missionaries were also read. The missionary reaading entitled "One-quarter cup of -raisins", being His hand extended, tivas read by Mrs: Hilda Eizinga. Mrs. -Ada Triebner also read a couple of poems entitled "Standing on My Knces" and "Foolprints". The Message of the afternoon was given by Miss Marion McLean on "Tortured for Christ" about Richard Wermbrandt, who spent three years in solitary confinement, voice of the underground Church. The bulletin was read by Mrs. Ruth McLaren: Prayer time fol- lowed. A delicious lunch was served by Mrs. Ella Tinney and Mrs. Shirley Prouty assisted by the hostess. Rebekahs hold Pk. trl Christmas party MR. AND MRS. GREGORY LYND Jane Marie Pollock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Pollock, Hensall and Gregory Wesley Lynd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Lynd, Etobicoke, were married at Islington United Church, Etobicoke, September 12, 1987. Maid of honour was Cathy Freeth, Bramalea. Bridesmaids were Karen Lynd, Etobicoke and Linda Smith, Exeter, Jennifer Jane Struyf, RR 4, Thedford, niece of the bride was flowergirl. Richard Schwass of Toronto was best man. Ted Alley of Mississauga and Jim Pollock of Meadowvale ushered guests. The reception was held at The Holiday Inn, Etobicoke. After a honeymon in St. Lucia, Jane and Greg are now residing.in Mississau- ga. Pride of Huron Rebekah Lodge held their Christmas party at Exeter United Church with a good atten- dance. A delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings was served by Sister Elaine Pinder and her group. N.G. Sister Mavis Atthill presid- ed over the business. Christmas baskets will be delivered to the sick and shutins. Birthday wishes were sung for Sisters Reta Morley, Almira Ford, Alva Routley and Kay Cann. Sister Almira Ford gave a Christ- mas reading and we all joined in singing Christmas carols. Santa arrived to distribute gifts.
