Learn about colours
at Lucan Nursery
The month of November turned
out to be a very colourful month for
the Lucan Nursery School. The
children have been busy learning
about colours through many crea-
tive and fun ways.
The children have had red day
where everyone wore something red
and for a special snack red jello. On
blue day we made collages from pic-
tures the children had cut out at
home. For green day we will be
bringing a green food to taste and
identify.
The children will be making co-
lour wheels which will be used for
colour identification games. To end
off our section on colours we will
be mixing colours to experiment
with what you get when you mix
two colours together. Now if these
aren't fun ways to learn about co-
lours I don't know what is.
The nursery school moms have
been busy baking pies for the Opti-
mist dinner. The Optimist continue
to support our school through gen-
erous donations.
Anyone interested in assisting at
the nursery school as a "duty par-
ent" please contact the nursery
school 227-4134. Substitute parents
are needed for working parents and
sick days. There is co-op for your
time. If you feel you would like to
help please call.
A delightful dessert was served by
the committee.
