Residents arc looking forward to performing Sunday, December 13, at 2 p.m. Beth Jantzi and several of our Aux- iliary members were in to assist. In the afternoon the Bethel Reformed Ladies were in to play bingo and lead a hymn sing. Tuesday moming residents worked out at fun and fitness and played games afterward. Tuesday afternoon was a little different for us as resi- dents and activity staff performed our own church service because there wasn't a minister available. Thank you to Lillian Smith, Lavina Watson and Mildred Gingerich for their contribution of story and poems. We had a beautiful service. Wednesday, several residents bowled in Zurich. Gord Beierling was men's high. Muriel Gunning was ladies high. Thank you to Iva Reid our volunteer driver. Thursday the residents' council met. We discussed our recipe book project. This is a fund raising pro- ject undertaken by residents' council to purchase a sound system for our home. Thursday afternoon we cele- brated November birthdays at our monthly birthday party. Birthday greetings to Mary Westlake, Esther Gill, John Kats and Hattie Wilt- shire. We all took part in an ener- getic sing song led by Laurene Madge, Lorne Hyde and Gord Harri- son of Goderich who came in to en- tertain for the afternoon. Saturday we focused on Germany at our International Day for Novem- ber. Saurbraten was on the menu for supper. Black Forest cake was served at our afternoon program. Everyone cnjoycd being entertained by George Mathonis singing Silent Night in German. We had many Gcrman items to browse through. It was a wonderful afternoon. We've been busy unpacking Christmas decorations and Decein- ber 2 we arc having a "Spruce Par- ty" to spruce up Queensway with Christmas decorations. Family and friends arc welcome.
