Christmas meal for Lioness
The Exeter Lioness met at the Ex-
eter Masonic Hall at 7:00 p.m. on
Monday, November 23, and the
Eastem Star ladies had prepared a de-
licious Christmas Dinner for the 36
members present.
Lioness liaison Lion Jim Beckett
inducted a new Lioness member,
that being Mary Lou Becker into
the Exeter Lioness Club, who was
sponsored by Lioness Linda Oliver.
Charlotte Empringham, represent-
ing Panasonic Microwave Cooking,
gave a fantastic demonstration of
fast easy cooking in a microwave.
She prepared a quiche, beehive vege-
table dish and an iced chocolate
cake. In only minutes, all was pre-
pared and the Lioness could enjoy
the microwave dishes. She is a
Home Ec. Graduate and teaches all
classes of microwave cooking,
along with personal clubs and con-
sultation.

The Exeter Villa visitation each
month is being enjoyed by the resi-
dents and they look forward to the
evening. This Wednesday's enter-
tainment will be by Michael and
Lori Coolman on their accordions.
Donuts and juice provided by the
Exeter Lioness. The residents will
be treated to the Santa Claus parade
on Dec. 5 by the Lioness, where re-
served parking will be provided in
front of the Exeter Municipal Of-
fice.
Float preparations are under way
with plans of an Old -Fashioned
Christmas theme. The Exeter Lio-
ness members will be collecting
"LETTERS TO SANTA" along
the Parade Route. So Kids, get
those cards and letters written to
Santa!!!
The annual chicken barbecue is
planned for Friday, January 29,
1988, proceeds to go to the Sun-
shine Foundation of Canada.
Santa will be visiting the Exeter
Legion on December 10 for the an-
nual Lions and Lioness Christmas
Party for the kids.
Exeter Lioness have been very
busy over the past month, with
sponsoring the Zone Lioness Fall
Rally on Sunday, October 25 at the
Exeter Legion - Guest Speaker be-
ing Angela Armiu, Retired U.W.O.
Professor and Humourist The regu-
lar meeting was held on the follow-
ing Monday, with our guest speaker
from Raintree Design, Exeter who
presented videos on bed -sheet deco-
rating. 50th Celebrations of the Ex-
eter Lions Club were enjoyed by Li-
oness and many returning Lions for
a wonderful function attended by
His Honour Lincoln Alexander,
Lieutenant Governor.
The Exeter Lioness Christmas
Craft Auction is planned for Mon-
day, November 30 at the Masonic
