Hawks roll on to ninth win
Continued from IA
Brydges Friday night was cancelled
by Mount Brydges' coach. Bogart
expects the game to be awarded to
Hawks as a forfeit because Exeter
and the officials showed up for the
game. Mount Brydgcs didn't cancel
until 7 p.m. The issue will be taken
before the board fora ruling.
Sunday, Hawks jumped out to a
4-0 lead in the first period and never
looked back.
Despite the lopsided score, Bo-
gart said Hawks missed too many
chances.
Actually the score she have
been a lot higher than it was," he
said, noting th..t Seaforth goalie
Bill Tremner was hot. Exeter pum-
meled him with shots.
"That guy was shell-shocked. He
was making the big saves and we
weren't cashing in when we should
have."
Clark Singer opened the scoring
at 8:48, launching himself into a
three goal night. Jim Lewis and
Bryan Quinn drew assists on the
play.
Near the half -way mark of the
first Steve Gould scored from Mark
Morrissey and Scott Lovie to give
Exeter a two goal advantage and
then Jon O'Connor spotted an open-
ing and scored at 11:48 from a well
placed pass by goalie Dave Rook.
Terry Casey rounded out the first
period barrage with 5:40 remaining
after he connected with Jeff Pfaff
and Scott Bogart.
Lewis and Gould added goals at

12:45 and 14:47 of the second. As-
sists on the play went to Casey,
Pfaff and Brent Murray.
Seaforth made a squeak in the last
three minutes of the second when
Kevin Melady and Mike Betties
managed to score.
Singer notched two more in the
third. He scored after eight minutes
of play on a pass from O'Connor.
Lewis potted his second of the
night when he capitalized on the
play combination of Tom McCann
and Jeff Dalrymple.
With 21 seconds showing on the
clock, Singer pumped in his third of
the night from O'Connor and Mur-
ray.
Seaforth's Rob McEwen scored
his teams only third period goal.

London beats Atoms
Exeter Atoms dropped two tough
decisions against London teams in
exhibition action on the weekend.
London Sanders Pro Shop handed
the locals a 6-1 loss Saturday in
London. Home ice didn't help the
Exeter squad Sunday. They lost 6-2
to London.
Exeter's only goal of the game
Saturday was scored by Sean
McCann who potted the point unas-
sisted with 3:21 left in the third per-
iod.
London took a two goal lead in
the first period, added two in the
second and two in the third, over-
powering Exeter.
Sunday's game had much the
same result, though Exeter put up a
good fight in the third.
Atoms fell behind 2-0 in the first
and 3-0 in the second, but, just 12
seconds into the third, McCann
