Lucan Novices are undefeated in Shamrock action with nine wins, no losses and one tie. Lucan Novices blanked their Strathroy counter -parts on the week- end, shutting them out 9-0 in Shamrock Hockey action. Leading 3-0 at the end of the first period, Lucan increased their advantage by four in the second and encountered no resistance in,the third. Adam Duskocy scored Lucan's first goal of the game after he picked up a pass from Mike Wragg. Kurtis Hardy followed that with a goal when he picked up a pass from Jeremy Brown. Duskocy pumped in his second of the night unassisted before the end of the period. Ryan Carroll found the mark in the second after he picked up -a re- bound from a shot by Brent Bella- my and then Brown scored from Duskocy to make it 5-0. Bellamy added another to the list from Craig Miller and Brown put the puck in the net for the second time that night. In the third period, Josh Apple- man sparked his line with a goal. Jesse Waters and Marty Mitchell drew assists on the play. It was the same combination in a different order which put goal num- Ilderton hands BigV Bullets a tough. loss one minute later. With just 1:36 left to play, Derek Beckett scored unassisted, but Bul- lets were still three goals short. Despite an attempt to rally in thc final minutes of the game, Exeter Big V Bullets dropped a tough 8-5 decision to Ilderton last wcck in Lambton-Middlesex action. Brad Thompson opened the scor- ing after two minutes of play in the first period when he picked up a pass from Greg Agnew, but Ilderton was -quick to reply with a goal of their own just one minute later when Chris McQueen found the mark. Bell Atoms beat Ilderton Exeter Bell Atoms avenged their only loss of the season Saturday when they handed Ilderton Atom B's a 9-5 loss, bringing thcir season record to eight wins, one loss and one tie. Craig Schwartzentruber and Ben Guenther played outstanding games for Exctcr, scoring three goals and picking up one assist each. Bell Atoms took a two goal lead in the first period after Schwartzen- truber found thc the net twicc with 'his shot. His first goal, at 3:17, was unassisted. Assists on his sec- ond goal were awarded to Ted Hoff- man and Jeff DcBlock. Early in the second, Guenther scored his first goal of the night on a pass from Hoffman to make it 3-0 in Exeter's favour. Ilderton got on the board' less than one minute after Guenther's goal was scored, but Exctcr was quick U1 reply when Hoffman blasted in a shot with the assists going to Brent Urlin and Jason Clay. Ilderton scored again at 6:12 to make.the score 4-2 for Exeter. At 7:03, Urlin connected with Schwartzentruber to score his first of the night. . Guenther and Schwartzentruber each scored once more before the period was over. Assists on those goals went to Urlin and Hoffman. Ilderton started the scoring in the third after two minutes of play but again, Exctcr was quick to answer. Hoffman pumped iri a shot from Guenther at 3:27 and then Guenther Ringette The Exctcr Petite Ringette team travelled to Mitchell, Saturday for their second regular season game, which they lost 10-6. Exctcr lcd 4-3 after thc first peri- od, but the Mitchell girls burst into the last period to take the lead and later win the game. Carrie Simpson was the sole scor- er for Exctcr, scoring four goals in the first period and two in the last. Ilclping Simpson with her efforts were Janice Sanders, Chris Morgan, Danielle Miners, and Suzanne Ste - Jenny Seiler and Rhonda Jarmuth took care of the goals for Mitchell scoring five goals each.
