Mrs. Mathers said this is the first time such a program has been pro- vided on such a large scale at the school. She hopes one positive ef- fect will be to encourage the female students to maintain their science and math credits. Mathers believes the program was very successful; it gave the students an informative look at a wide varie- ty of interesting carters. The stu- dents were attentive throughout the presentations, and asked innnumera- blc questions when given the oppor- tunity. Mathers was very pleased with the cooperation received from the com- munity. The speakers also enjoyed their time at the school. For some, this was their initiation into public speaking.
