'Peace' is the theme
as Exeter UCW meet
A remembrance Day poem was
read by Olive Thomson, leader, to
open the November meeting of the
afternoon group of the Exeter
U.C.W.
Two upcoming dates to be re-
membered are the executive meeting
November 25 and general meeting
November 30.
Pcacc was the devotional theme
chosen by Laura Dickey, group
leader. Marion Miller read the scrip-
ture from Philippians Chapter 4.
A poem "A Prayer for World
Wide Peace" was read in unison.
Laura Dickey spoke of the serious
conflicts in the world today and the
need of an effort by everyone to
work and pray for. peace.
As part of the Desiderata we read,
"therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspi-
rations in the noisy confusion of
life, keep peace in your soul."
