News from
Grand Bend
Freda Farrell, Hit 2, Grand Bend,
hosted a Thanksgiving dinner last
Monday at noon. Guests were Jim
and Alma Prance, Iva and George
Latta, Greta Luther and Mr. and Mrs.
Roland Neil.
There were lots of people in the
village for the Farmers Market this
weekend, and they also enjoyed the,
craft show at the niuseum.
The more active took advantage of
the sunny skies Sunday to hike in the
Pinery Provincial Park. The colour
there is at its peak now, and this year
is one -of the best for rich colours -
makes you want to grab a camera or
paint brush to record those beautiful
hues of gold, red and bronze. Get out-
side and enjoy the scenery while it
lasts!
Remember, this is Library
Awareness Week in Ontario. Make a
date to visit your local public library
and see what they have to offer. Take
out a book - it could be quite a novel
way to spend an evening.
Seven members of the Grand Bend
Golden Age Club attended the Zone 8
Fail Rally in Holmesville last October
14; 16 Clubs across Southwestern On-
tario were represented. Mrs. Brown
of Huron County Horne Care was the
guest speaker.
