Exeter RSD Sports Den Novices
suffered a 3-1 loss Saturday at the
hands of Strathroy.
Strathroy Novices took a 1-0 lead in
the first period when Chris Adaide
scored an unassisted goal.
The two teams played out a
scoreless second period but in the
third, Adaide was at it again, scoring
unassisted with 8:57 left in the game.
Exeter's Jeff Inch answered that
goal with one of his own 26 seconds
later when he was set up by Michael
McConnell, making it 2-1.
A goal by Strathroy'S Jody Pin-
combe with 39 seconds left in the third
stole from Exeter any chances they
might have had to tie the game.
Molting Hawks
Exeter Molting Ilawks suffered a
loss Saturday night when Seaforth
downed them 7-3.
Ron Moore, Jim Empringham and
Scott Burton scored goals for Molting
Hawks in the losing effort.
Monday night, Exeter came close
to a victory, but was edged out 8-7 by
East London Old Sports.
Ron Moore picked up two goals in
the effort. Ken Bergman, Scott Bur-
ton, Bob McDonald, Jini Empr-
ingham and Jim "Eli" Pfaff scored
one goal each.
Shuffleboard
Allen Johns scored 299 in five
games during an Exeter shuffleboard
mixed meet last week. Ile was follow-
ed by Steve Krapchak with 284:
Laurence Stone came in third with
283 while Meine Eizenga placed
fourth with 282.
Beatrice Richardson scored 323 to
lead a four game mixed match
tourney, October 14.
Albert Hummel came in second
with 232. He was followed by Verda
Lightfoot with 214 and Bruce Watson
at 201.
Ray Cottle rounded out the top five
with 199.
Thursday, Allen Johns was again
on top in a five game mixed tourney
with 430, pushing Olive Essery into se-
cond spot with 392.
Steve Krapchak came in third with
331.
Eldon Heywood scored 328 to take
fourth spot.
Marjorie Hodgert captured first
place in four games with 299, beating
Meine Eizange who scored 204 and
Mahlon Ryckman with 199.

Waxers shut out Dorchester
Exeter Novice Waxers suffered a
4-1 loss against Parkhill Friday but
rebounded with an 8-0 shutout over
Dorchester Sunday afternoon.
Friday, Exeter and Parkhill fought
through a scoreless first period.
Kyle Vermuelen pumped in two
goals for Parkhill in the second with
assists going to Mark MaGuire and
Jim Watson.
Exeter responded with a goal by
Ryan Soldan from Bruce Hann, keep-
ing Waxers close going into the third.
Parkhill goal -scorers over-
powered Exeter in the third as well.
Jim Watson scored unassisted and
then assisted Justan Michielson when
he scored Parkhill's final goal.

Shane MaGuire was in net for
Parkhill. Jason Lindenfield put for-
ward a strong performance in goal for
Exeter.
Waxers took revenge Sunday
when they pounded Dorchester 8-0.
Placing Rob Lynn on a forward line
paid off for the team. Lynn potted four
goals in the effort.
Ryan Beckett started things off for
Exeter with a goal in the first period,
assisted by Brian Richardson. Rob
Lynn then followed with an unassisted
goal. giving Waxers a 2-0 lead.
In the second period, Chad Gilfillan
added to the score with assists going
to Jeff Sararas and Chad Dalyrmple.
Rob Lynn added two more goals in
Lucan Atoms
Lucan Atoms remain undefeated
after extending their Shamrock
league record to three wins, no losses
and one tie this week with a 4-2 win
over Goderich.
The game was a roughly played
match which led to one Goderich
player being thrown out of the game.
Lucan allowed Goderich to slip out
in front early in the first period when
David Lumley scored unassisted at
2:19. However, just over one minute
later, Shawn Fairweather scored for
Lucan, tying the game 1-1. Chris Rev-
ington drew an assist on the play. .
Steve Dame then gave Lucan the
lead. Assists went to Fairweather and
Eric Kowalchuk.
Only 10 seconds into the second
period, Goderich's Jeremy Powell
tied the game 2-2 with a goal, but
Lucan was able to recapture the lead
and hang onto it going into the third
when Matt Munro scored from Jason
Hodgson and Jeff Campbell.
In the third period, Fairweather
came up with his second goal of the

Lynn was assisted twice by Brian
Ellrington and once by Eric Clay.
Entering the third period with a 5-0
lead, Jeff MacLean picked up a pass
from Ryan Beckett to score goal
number six for the team. MacLean
then assisted Rob Lynn on his fourth
goal of the night.
Chad Gillfillan finished the scoring
with his second goal. Jeff Sararas
drew the assist on the play.
.lason Lindenfield was again in net
for Waxers, this time on the winning
side of things.
Waxers now have a record of one
win, one tie and two losses in regular
season action.

A power play goal by Lambeth's Roc-
co Diaco just seconds later, tied the
game at three, but with 2:16 remain-
ing in the second, Lucan used their
man advantage again to score when
Joe Febrey set up Scott Denomy who
found the mark, putting his team
back in the driver's seat.
Lambeth managed one more goal
near the half -way mark of the third
to tie the game 4-4. Lucan was unable
to put the winning marker on the
board and aftera scoreless overtime
period, the two teams settled for the
tie.
Lambeth 11 - Wellesley 8
Barnes couldn't miss Friday night
when Lucan found themselves em-
broiled in a shoot-out in Wellesley.
The Lucan centreman scored four
goals.
Irish built a 3-1 lead in the first
period on goals by Muir. Todd Hayter
and Brian Schuyler and then added
five more goals in the second.
Barnes picked up two of his four in
the middle period while Marshall pot-
ted the first of two that night. Muir
scored his second of the game and
Jamie Greig added one more to give
Lucan an 8-2 lead heading into the
final period.
Wellesley came to life in the third.
taking advantage of four Lucan
penalties to score and then pumping
in two more while the teams were at
equal strength.
Marshall countered the onslaught
with a goal early in the period and
then Barnes added two more. His
final goal of the game was an empty
net goal, scored while Lucan had a
power play.
Paul Woolford was in goal for
Lucan until the seven minute mark of
the third when he was replaced by
Brian Gregory.
Irish t - Clinton 2
Marshall shone earlier in the week
when Lucan came up against a weak
Clinton team and downed them 8-2.
Marshall opened the scoring in the
first period when he was able to
capitalize on a power play opportuni-
ty. He was assisted on the play by Joe
Febrey and Ian Craig who ac-
cumulated three assists during the
night.
DePlancke made it 2-0 on a pass
from Kevin Leitch and Terry
Knowles.
In the second period, Lucan receiv-
ed goals from Denomy, Darren Neil,
Febrey, David Smith and Marshall to
make the score 7-0.
Marshall completed his hat trick in
the third when he scored with less
than 30 seconds remaining in the
game.
Clinton put forward a feeble effort
to come back in the third with goals
by Bob Ladd and Mark Laporte.
