The queen of flowers was Gladys Cudmore with runner-up Rita VanWieren. Specials flower awards were Miss piggy's Flower Garden to Laurel Miner and Gentlemen's Choice to Charles Henderson. Laurel Miner was queen of arts and crafts and Rhea Greene was runner- up - The best counted cross stttch arti- cle was entered by Donna Shapton. Bird Feeder winner was Peter Visscher and the Woodcarving award went to liarold Nairn. Gift wrapped parcels for Christmas - Debra Chappel; Best "Porkers" Salt and Pepper Collection - . Ruby iiogarth; Best Print Amateur Photographers - Tina Visscher; Best Light and Shadow entry for Advanc- ed Photography - Mary Margaret Thompson; Best Portrait - Advanced Photography - Jill, Harburn; Best Print - Advanced Photography - Paul Armstrong. Queen of Sewing was Shirley Kerslake with Beatrice Fleming in the runner-up spot. Best Dress Pants - Bev Prout; Best Pyjamas -Children's Wear - Cynthia Pym; Best Latchet hooked article - Dolores Prest; Best Appliqued quilt - Mrs. Eben Weigand; Winner of Most Points in mats and quilts - Margaret Cole. Winner of Best of Show Quilt which is eligible for Canada Packers Cham- pionship Quilt Competition was shown by Gladys Richardson; Best Cushion made from cotton material - Diane Andrews; Best Fancy Cushion - Irene Hoffman; Best Hostess Apron - Mary Eisler; Best Quilted Article - Khris Hardy. Best crocheted baby bonnet and sweater - Cathy Norris. In the Special for a crocheted Afghan throw (no em- broidery ) Olive Essery was the win- ner. Knitted adult pullover sweater - Helen Toornstra; Best knitted socks - Mrs. Gerrit Wynja; Winner of the knitted Afghan Throw Special Ino em- broidery) was Olga Bern. Taking Baking queen honours was Mary Huston - St. Marys and runner- up was Beatrice Fleming - Brucefield. Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake - Cathy princesses Seip, Exeter; Dutch.apple pie - Don- na Price, Exeter; Date loaf (with nuts) - Exeter villa; Tomato Juice - Louise Amerongen, Exeter, Green Hot Dog Relish - Ruth McLartm,;Ex- eter; Pickled beets - Laura Herd; Butter Tarts - Shirley Cooper, Elimville. In the Culinary Arts Specials "A Christmas Gift from Your Kitchen" *as won by Rita Van Wieren. Most points in Class 55 - Golden Age was won by Marjorie Arthur. Best sewn article - Edith Miller, Exeter; Best article from latchet hooked yarn - .Dorothy Elford. Junior classes The Junior Sewing Princess title was won by Barbara Tiernan with runner-up Cathy Norris. First prize afternoon dress - Lisa Triebner; Best big shirt - Lynn Poor- tinga ; Most points in Junior Arts and Crafts - Carolyn Paquette; Best watercolour painting - Derek Van I)yken. Junior Baking Princess was Anne Delbridge and runner-up Denise Kints. Good competition between these two girls with Susan Grubb close behind. 4414 ate. DOMESTIC QUEENS OF THE FAIR — A number of Queens were crowned in the Homecraft division of the Exeter Fall Fair Friday night. In front from the left are Junior Sewing Princess Barb Tiernan, Junior Baking Princess Anne Delbridge, Arts and Crafts Queen Laurel Miner, Sewing Queen Shirley Kerslake and Baking Queen Mary Ruston. Doing the crowning at the bock from the left are Cathy Norris, Cathy Seip, Darlene Lynn, Mary Lou Thomson and Marg Truemner. MR. AND MRS. JIM KELLER Hgather Lindsay and Jim Keller were married August 22 at Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich. John and Helen Lindsay, RR 1 Bayfield are the parents of the bride, and Ken and Shirley Keller, Goderich, are the parents of the groom. Maid of honor was Elise Lindsay, Toronto, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Lori Maaskant, Waterloo, sister of the groom, and Joan Mat: susaki, Hamilton, a friend of the bride. Flowergirls were Char- maine Baxter, Goderich, niece_of the bride and Jessica Maaskant, Waterloo, niece of the groom. Randy Keller, Toronto, was best man for his brother, and ushers were friends of the groom, Isaias Teves and Brad Reitz, both of Toronto. Ringbearer was Christopher Baxter, Goderich, nephew of the bride. Also assisting at the ceremony were Lee and Ricky Kerr, Goderich, nephews of the bride. The of- ficiating pastors were the Rev. K:L. Zorn, Kitchener, and the Rev. Chris Wicher, formerly of Goderich, now of Newfane, New York. Special wedding music was played by violinists Ann Marie, Madonna and Caroline McQuaid, Seaforth, accompanied at the organ by Lorne Dotterer, Goderich. Following a honey- moon in England and Scotland, Jim and Heather have taken up residence in Guelph. Heather is a third year student in Family and Consumer Studies at the Univer- sity of Guelph majoring in nutri- tion, and Jim is in his final year at the University of Toronto, faculty of pharmacy.
