Dance, ballerina, dance
When Karen Kain hangs up her
ballet shoes for the last time, there's
a little girl in Exeter with stars in her
eyes and talent in her toes who just
might be ready, willing and able to
replace one of Canada's best-known
ballerinas.
The 11 -year-old has accomplished a
great deal in the few short years since
starting dancing lessons at age four.
Erin is part of two groups of students
from the Anne Mullen Dance
Academy in Stratford (one compris-
ing of four dancers and the other com-
posed of eight) who have been carry-
ing away top honours from various
festivals and competitions.
Last year one of Erin's groups plac-
ed first at the Kiwanis Music Festival
in Walkerton, and were awarded the
highest marks ever given for dance
at the Wellington County Dance
Festival. The two groups took top
honours at the Stratford Kiwanis
Festival.
Erin's ballet solo won first prize in
the Ontario Provincial Pageant on sometimes her legs are shaking as

both her groups at the Canterbury she poses awaiting her musical cue.
