Heather Redick, general manager
of the Iluron Country Playhouse is
moving on after eight years of
service.
Heather first joined the Huron
Country Playhouse staff in 1980 with
the objective of increasing both
subscription and individual ticket
sales. Her marketing plan was the
first of its kind at the Islayhouse and
individual ticket sales increased by
nearly :to percent over prior seasons,
subscription sales also gained
substantially. Heather was also
responsible for establishing good
leaving
working relations with the media,
other performing arts groups and sur-
roundincommunities.

MR. AND MRS. JEFF ROMPHF
Kimberley Ann Coon and Jeffery
Neilson Romphf were united in
marriage on Saturday, August
15, 1987 at Exeter United Church
with Rev. Richard Howley of-
ficiating. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Snell, Exeter and the groom is
son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Romphf,
Exeter. Matron of honour was
Kelly Coon, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Nancy Coon,
sister-in-law of the bride, Julie
Dickey/sister of the groom and
Brenda Regier, friend of the
bride. The junior bridesmaids
were Melaine and Melissa Smith,
nieces of the bride. The best man
was Tim Lovell, friend of the
groom. Ushers were Grant Coon,
brother of the bride, Jim Romphf,
brother of the groom and Earl
Martene, friend of the groom.
Kim and Jeff are residing its Ex-
eter and would like to thank
everyone for making our day
special.

Susan Jane Alice Campbell and
Stephen Douglas Cooper ex-
changed marraige vows Satur-
day, September 14, 1987 at Kip -
pen United Church. Rev. Lorne
Keys officiated at the double ring
ceremony. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Campbell, Exeter and Mr. and
Mrs. Douglas Cooper, Kippen are
parents of the groom. The maid
of honour was Brenda Regier,
Zurich and bridesmaids were
Sharon Campbell, Barb Ferguson
and Mary Masse, all of Exeter.
The flowergirl was Ashley
Rowcliffe, Hensall. The best man
was Tim Lovell, Kippen and
guests were ushered by Brad
Scott, Delaware; Scott Rundle,
Exeter and Brian Cooper, Kippen.
Danny Ferguson, Exeter was
ringbearei-. Soloist was Janey
Scott, Delaware and Anriette
Cann, London was organist. The
couple will reside in Exeter.

MR. AND MRS. RICHARD MATTUCCI
Karen Leashia Heather and Er-
cole Richard Mattucci were
united in marriage on July 25,
1987. The ceremony took place at
The Church of The Epiphany and
St. Mark in Toronto. Rev. Paul
Feheley officiated. Karen is the
daughter of Bill and Donna
Heather of RR 1, Kirkton and Rich
is the son of Tony and Ruth Mat-
tucci of RR 1, Hay. The best man
was Tony Mattucci, Exeter,
brother of the groom. Guests
were ushered by Frank Mattucci,
Exeter, brother of the groom,
Kevin Heather, Calgary, brother
of the bride, and Rodney Dobson,
Exeter, friend of the groom. The
maid of honour was Kimberly
Heather, Calgary, sister of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Tonett
Wojtasik, Toronto, sister of the
groom, Laurie Heather, Calgary,
sister-in-law of the' bride and
Dawn MacDonald, St. Cathar-
ines, friend of the bride. Jennifer
Sapinet, Toronto, cousin of the
groom was the flowergirl. A
beautiful solo, The Wedding
Song, was • sung by Kimberly
Heather, accompanied by Rev.
Paul Feheley on the guitar. Karen
and Rick are now happily living
in Toronto. Many thanks to all
family and friends that helped to
make Karen and Rick's day very
special.
TO MARRY — Mr. and Mrs. Elgin
Kipfer are happy to announce the
forthcoming marriage of their
daughter Kimberley Clarice to
William John, son of Mrs. Jean.
Graff and the late Donald Graff.
The wedding will take place
September 26, 1987 at Calvary
United Church in Dashwood at
2:30 p.m. Open reception to
follow in Parkhill at 8:30 p.m.

Fair luncheon
Pride of Huron Rebekah Lodge met
Wednesday evening with N. G. Sister
Jan Jeffery presiding.
The charter was draped for Past
President of the Grand Lodge, Glenys
Ray. We were reminded to bring in a
gift for the sunshine box at our next
meeting.
N. G. Sister Jan Jeffery gave a very
gratifying report of her year's
activities.
Plans were made for the fair lun-
cheon we will he catering to at the
Rec Centre.
Birthday honours were sung for
Sisters Jean Hodgert. Barb Whiting
anti Bev. Delhridge.
Ringo was played followed by
lunch.

Playhouse post
As a result of her success in
marketing, Heather was promoted to
Director of fundraising. Under her
coordination, both private and cor-
porate fundraising were increased,
and new, more varied and more
challenging events were added to the
roster of fundraising events at Huron
Country Playhouse. Heather also in-
itiated the Huron Country Playhouse
involvement in the Wintario Arts
Challenge Fund, a very successful
three -}'ear fundraising drive, as well
as Playhouse participation in the In-
vestment In The Arts Program in
.1986.
In early 1981, she was promoted to
the position of General Manager.
Under her management Huron Coun-
try Playhouse has become one of the
largest and most successful summer
theatres - not only in Ontario but also
in Canada. Heather initiated the
development of Playhouse 11 along
with handicap facilities, renovated
Public Washrooms, the new Work
Shop, Breezeway and the addition of
a balcony to the Alain 'Theatre. In
1984, Heather was the recipient of the
1'ictor Polley Award. for Arts Ad-
ministration/Arts Facilities
Management.

Huron Country Playhouse is pleas-
ed to announce that Mrs. Victor Smith
of RR 4 Denfield, Ontario is the lucky
winner of a round trip for two
anywhere in the world Air Canada,
flies except Singapore and Bombay.
The dray took place Saturday,
September 5, 1987 and was drawn and
announced by Dave Sheppard, past
president of the Board of Directors for
the Playhouse.
The prize is available' through
Ellison 'Travel and 'fours Exeter,
\Vingharn and Clinton and the
generosity of Air Canada. Huron
Country Playhouse offered the draw
tickets for this trip as one of the
season's fundraising projects.

It was also announced that Mar-
jorie and George Laird of Thedford;
Ontario were the lucky winners of two
subscriptions for the 1988 Playhouse
season.
