Although the wind wasn't
too brisk Thursday, Mark
Lomas of Exeter was able to
demonstrate his skill at the
newest transportation fad
to hit town. Once the wind
caught. the sails Mark was
able to scoot from one end
of the Rec Centre parking
lot in just a few seconds.
The only accessories need-
ed to go with the skate
board and wind surfing sail
are elbow and knee pads,
though a helmet wouldn't
hurt. The skate board is
operated on the same prin-
ciple used to propel a sail
board.
Skate sailors have an ad-
vantage over board sailors
in that it never gets too
rough to sail, but they don't
have a soft landing' to de-
pend on in the case of a
I spill.

Molting Hawks open season
Exeter Molting Hawks opened the
Oldtimer's hockey season Monday
night with a 5-3 win over North Lon-
don Old Devils at llderton.
Bob McDonald picked up two goals
in the effort while Scott Burton, Bob
Jones and Keith Ahrens each scored
single goals.
Glen Thurman was credited with
three assists over the course of the
game.

Molting Hawks received a strong
performance from Glen Stire.
