WHLIAM ROHDE The regular church service and Sunday School Promotion Awards took place on Sunday morning with Rev. TeddySmits in charge. During the children's period SundaSt School Awards were handed out.. • Mr. Smits told them a story about two travellers and a bear. The two men were travelling on foot through the fields when they -spotted a bear. One of the men at once climbed into the only tree that was near the road. The other man could do nothing but lie flat on the path. The bear came and sniffed at him all over. He tried to keep in his breathing, for bears will not attack a dead body. The bear lost interest in the still body and went on. Soon the other traveller came down from the tree and said: "And what did lather bear tell you''" The man who had acted as if he were lifeless, said "Ile told me not to trust in people when in great need!" How often do people show their true colours when .we'are in a'crisis!" The Sermon Text was from St. Luke The sermon dwelt with people who are discouraged in their attempts le carry out God's will in their lives.
