Your credit file at your local Credit Bureau contains financial, in- formation gathered from banks, credit card companies, court records, employers, etc. The Credit Bureau does not make any lending decisions. It is a reporting agency that receives and files records of credit transactions and makes this information available to members who are credit lenders. This allows lenders to rate you in terms of their risks. Many factors are considered when a lender determines the risk in giving you credit. Some of these factors are your age, income, how long you have lived at your present home, how long at present business/job, your credit history, overall assets, debt ratio, purpose for borrowing money. Have you seen a copy of your own credit rating? Your Credit Bureau will provide it within 24 hours of QUEEN'S SEAFORTH THURS., FRI., SAT.
