A Centralia CoI- T-A photo Times -Advocate, August 26, 1987 Don Lobb honoured As a member organization of the Soil Conservation Society of America (S.C.S.A.t, the Ausable Bayfield Con- servation Authority wishes to bring attention to a local achievement. The S.C.S.A. on August 5 named nine in- dividuals as recipients of the organization's 1987 Honour Award. Among those named was Donald Lobb of K.K. 2 Clinton. • S.C.S.A. president Maurice G. Cook of Raleigh, North Carolina presented tate awards at a banquet concluding the organization's 42nd Annual Meeting held in Billings, Montana. The Honour Award is presented to S.C.S.A. members and non-members for significant contributions in the field of land and water resource con- ditions. Donald Lobb was recognized for his active use of conservation tillage and physical structures such as terraces, windbreaks, and grass- ed waterways, on his farm. Lobb has been active in promoting conservation. In conjunction with his working in no -till and soil conserva- tion cropping practices, he works closely with the University of Guelph on weed control research.
