• This is our last week of playground.
We have had a great summer even
though the attendance has been down
considerably. The children have en-
joyed all the activities which we have
offered them during the summer.

School is fast approaching and with Wednesday, August 20, there will be

of swimming. We are now into the last for people who are dressed ready to
go to the beach. The children will also

Exeter Business & Bankers largest
men's'pairs tournament of the year
was held August 5. All eleven greens
were filled with 22 teams from
Hanover. Walkerton, London,
Lucknow, Seaforth, Clinton, Strat-
ford, Ingersoll and Exeter.
Only one team from the local club
placed in the prize selection spon-
sored.by local merchants.
Allan and Peter McFalls finished
ninth with two wins and a :39 total for
the day.

Ironwood ladies host Exeter, Seaforth
Ironwood ladies club was sponsored
by Something Special, Mane Event
and Second Look this week when 76
ladies enjoyed a pot luck supper with
guests from the Exeter and Seaforth
ladies club.
The Seaforth ladies brought in some
impressive scores topped by Gail
ATV supercross
Local riders whb travelled to the
Dorchester Fair for the ATV Super -
cross held their own on the weekend.
CRC Productions of Clinton produc-
ed and ran the event at the Dor-.
chester Fair for the first time. They
had a record crowd to watch the race
which kept them on the edges of their
seats from beginning to end.
Rider entries were strong with
locals out in full force.
Chuck Collins was top local rider
with second place finishes in the 250
Modified and 200 Modified classes and
fourth place finishes ,in the Open
Modified four stroke and Open
Modified two stroke classes.
Jim Heinmiller, of Gowanstown
took home third place in the 200
Modified while Doug Wolfe of Mitchell
had good standings in the four Wheel
two stroke and Open Modified two
stroke classes.
The next ATV race is scheduled for
this coming Sunday at the London In-
ternational Supercross at the Western
Fair Grounds.
On Saturday night there will be
motocross action on the same track
with Brian Blackburn of Exeter com-
peting for first place finishes. Riders
are coming from Ontario, Quebec and
the United States for their share of the
$1,500.00 purse.

Municipal Act. R.S.O. 1980, Chapter 302, that the Council of the
Corporation of the Town of Exeter proposes to pass By-law No.
36, 1987 - to lay out and establish a road allowance known as
Pickard Road.
Pickard Road will be the 66' road allowance into the new Ex-
eter Industrial Park, located north off of Highway No. 83, shown
on survey as.Part of Lot 936, Plan 376, described as Parts 3 and
4 on Reference Plan 22R2162, being 132' directly east of Dan -
Brie Moulded Plastics Ltd. at 150 Thames Road East, Exeter,
Ontario.
The proposed By -low and description showing the lands af-
fected may be viewed in the Clerk's Office, 406 Main Street,
Exeter.
On Thursday, August 20, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. in the Coucil

Ken and Ortha Baker returned
from a four day camping trip in the
Elora Gorge area, Thursday evening.
Relatives camping with them includ-
ed Elsie and Jake !Ceder and Bert and
Doris Schilbe, of Bayfield area, Mrs.
Emma Scheibe. Zurich, Marg and
Bob Reid, Varna area and Mac and
Orval Scheibe, Thamesville.
Family members spending a day
with Bakers Sr. at the campgrounds
were Gary, Sheona and Jeffrey
Baker, Sharon and Jamie Baker, all
of Shipka.
Jamie-rnet with an unfortunate ac-
cident at the campsite. being bitten by
a visiting dog from Quebec, and re-
quiring ii stitches for his wounds.
