Rev. 'Irony Laughrene read Psalm
100 to open the Sunday morning ser-
•tice.. Rev. Laughrene led the song •
service.
Pieter Schinkleshock called the
children to the front where he show-
ed them a tiny man figurine and a
glass of water. Putting the figurine
in the glass he showed them it was
surrounded with the water. Then he •
told the children that God is always
around His children..
Mr. Schinkleshock talked about
Christians being the happiest people
unearth. In Zechaniah 3:14-15, Psalm
150, and Isaiah 35 he read of praising
the Lord. ending with verse 10 saying
everlasting joy shall be upon their
heads. If we are the happiest people.
how conte we don't shout for joy'.'
When Christians shout for joy people
will -know they have something
special.
- You can have fun being a Christian.
Isaiah 55:11-12 says Christians shall
go forth with joy. and even nature
shall sing before the Lord. A Christian
is happy because he has the joy of
Jesus in his heart. This joy should
burst out in singing. and shouting
before the Lord.
Pieter Schinkleshock conducted the
evening service. Mrs. Lorraine Ar-
mitage. playing the piano. led the
song service. .
From 1 ('orinthians 12:10-11, he
slated Christians have to desire the
gifts of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 19:5-6
it tells us those who had received the
Holy Spirit prophesied. 1 Corinthians
14:1-5 and 26-40 encourages Christians
to desire the gift 01 prophecy for the
edification of the church. Every
Christian church should allow
prophecy.
The gift of prophecy must be used
in order in the churches. The office of
a prophet is different from prophesy-
ing. In the gift of prophecy the Lord
speaks a message through a person.
In Acts 21:9-11 is told the operation of
the office of a prophet is the foretell-
ing of the future. Joel 2:28-29 pro-
phesied of the out -pouring of the Ho-
ly Spirit.
