JIanb you s The Usborne Minor Baseball Association would like to take this op- .portunity to thank the following organizations for their generous fiancial support given us for the 1987 Ball Season. Township of Usborne Kirkton-Woodham Carnival Committee Exeter Legion Exeter Oddfellows 100F Shuffleboard Tom Hindle was ,the man to beat last week in Exeter Shuffleboard. He finished with a score of 371 in the men's division, followed closely by Lorne Shelton, 362, Albert Hummel!, 334, and Lloyd Lovell, 329. Pearl McKnight led the ladies in high score, turning in a 347. She was followed by Eva Shelton with a 268 and Hazel Fisher who recorded a 257. The partnership also plans to buy five broodmares, including Bree's Brief, Dalliance, Bardot Lobell, Bob- biann Hanover and Armbro Dove. The investment offers attractive tax benefits under "limited farm loss". Full-time farmers can write off the full amount of their farming loss. There is however no market for the units and the investment is a speculative one, dependent on Wax - man's ability and the marketability of the animals. A similar partnership was established in 1986 by F. H. Deacon Hodgson Inc. which raised 86.25 million to create Stonebridge Egyp- tian Arabian Limited Partnership. That partnership is different • however, in that it deals in horses us- ed for show purposes. The RKW part- nership will be dealing in standard - bred horses, which makes it the only one of its kind in Canada. Similar deals were launched in 1983 and 1986; but those involved were unable to reach the minimum subscription.
