PLAN BIRTHDAY
Pride of Iluron Rebekah Lodge met
Wednesday evening with Sister Jan
Jeffery in the N.G. chair. The charter
was draped in memory of Sister Sal-
ly Lang.
Plans were made to have a table of
baking and crafts at the Heritage
Foundation Farmer's Market in
June.
The June 3, 40th birthday party will
be held in Exeter United Church.
Birthday greetings were sung for
Sisters Kay Green and Ruth Skinner.
Constable Rick Sinnamon of the Ex-
eter U.Y.P. gave a very informative
talk on ways of crime proofing our
homes.
A social hour followed.
A LONG TRIP
A balloon publicizing 150th anniver-
sary celebrations in the state of
Michigan landed in an Usborne
township field Thursday evening.
It was found byGreta Richards on
her farm, just south of Devon and was
sent by students from the Utica Com-
munity Schools in Sterling Heights,
Michigan. Three others were found at
Ironwood Golf Course.
'BIRDS' FLOCKING
The Southern Ontario Thunderbird
Club (S.O.T.C.) will be holding a get-
together in London's Springbank
Park (Section 81 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
on Sunday, June 7.
Anyone who might be interested or
who is a proud owner of a Thunder-
bird (1955 to 1966) only is warmly in-
vited to come out and see the "Birds",
.talk with present club members and
perhaps join the S.O.T.C.
Come early and bring along your
friends and your camera and enjoy
the "Birds in the Park".

Rosemary Martens, daughter of
John and Marie Martens of
Bryanston, and Dwayne Selves,
son of Larry and Ruth Selves of RR
1 St. Marys, were married May 8
at St. Patrick's Church, Lucan. The
bride was attended by maid of
honour Jan Wilkinson,
bridesmaids Mary Jane Van
Kasteren and -Diane Elston, and
flowergirl Tanya Lange. Daryl
Selves was the best man, and the
ushers were Joe Martens and
Jeff Lomond. Guests from
Holland, Clinton, Watford,
Listowel and the Bryanston and
St. Marys areas attended ' the
wedding and the reception,
which was held at the Kirkton-
Woodham Community Centre.
The newlyweds are living at RR
1 Kirkton.

Everyone is invited to the final wor-
ship service conducted by Rev.
Robert Matheson on this pastoral
charge. A combined communion wor-
ship service at 10:30 a. m. on Sunday,
May 31.
• There will be a presentation to the
Matheson family downstairs after the
worship service. This will be follow-
ed by a light lunch. Elimville
members are asked to bring sand-
wiches and relishes. Thames Road
members are asked to bring cookies
or squares. Tea, coffee and cold
drinks will be supplied.
The June meeting of the United
Church Women will be held Monday,
June 1, at 8 p m. Gordon Black of near
St. Marys will be the guest speaker.
He was a Rotary exchange student for
a year in Japan. -

Thirty people from Thames Road
attended the worship service for the
Twenty-fifth Anniversary of the
United Church Women at Elimville
Church, Sunday.
Mrs. Larry Lynn welcomed
everyone and was in charge of the
service. Mrs. Don Kerslake led in
prayer, Mrs. Dan Coward read the
scripture Psalm 95:1-7, Romans 8:28,
31, 32,• 35, 37-39.
Mrs. Marion Skinner introduced
Mrs. Stewart Miner the guest speaker
who gave a very inspiring message.
She was thanked by Mrs. Larry Lynn.
Mrs. Marion Skinner and Mrs. John
Batten received the offering.

Rowe sane a very pleasing duet ac-

As each past president was called
forward, by Mrs. Don Kerslake, Mrs.
Larry Fulton pinned a corsage on
them: It was a very inspiring service
well worth attending.

Sandra Schroeder returned Thurs-
day, to her home in London, after a
month's restful holiday, spent in
Scotland and England. She visited a
girl friend. Ellen Trayner, at Girvan,
in Scotland for ten days. Sandra met
Ellen when she came over to Canada,
to visit as sister living here.
She spent some time in Bristol and
Glastonbury, in England. -
Ferman and Leota Snyder, attend-
ed the wedding, Saturday, of their
niece Marilyn Musselman, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Armand Musselman
of Tavistock to Wayne Genery, of
Mississauga. at Bethel Missionary.

Earl and Minerva Baker, of St.
Thomas. called on the holiday
weekend to visit at his brothers, Ken
and Ortha Baker.

home in Grand Bend and moved to an
apartment at the Blue Water Rest
