For high schools
Comeuters *r?"eds of Ontario
The computer reigns suprenie in to-
day's business world. making it in-.
creasingly important for. business
students to become lamiliar with its
operation. Secondary -school students,
planning a career in business. must
be prepared to meet the challenges of
a'rapidly changing world dominated
by the computer.
That's why the provincial ministry.
of education conducted a major
overhaul of the business studies pro-
gram available .at all Ontario high
schools. says Don Dool, a superinten-
dent of Schools with the Middlesex
County Board of Education.
"Educalors.want to meet the needs
of students. They can do that by help-
ing students to develop marketable
and current skills. Then when
students enter the business world they
will have a better chance of success."

Within the next two years major
changes to the business studies pro-

will no longer have to adapt courses.
like keyboarding, without guidance.
Instead they will have access to new.
detailed courses outlines and direc-
