The first two meetings of the Sew-
ing Plus Club for Hurondale II were
held April 7 and April 21 at our
leaders' homes, Marjorie Dayman
and Marilyn Pym.
Our first meeting started off with a
trip to the Polka Dot, where we saw
some of the suggested patterns and
materials. We also learned about in-
terfacing and shopping guidelines.
Meeting II centred around the cut-
ting and marking of our patterns.
Dianne Hamilton, our junior leader,
showed us some of the different ways
to mark the fabric. Some were tailors
tacks, dress makers chalk, fabric
pencils, and the- tracing wheel and
tracing paper. The meeting was ad-
journed by president Lori Parker. A
club name is to be decided on next
meeting.
