A familiar cry of the other kind of 'fore' has already been heard from the two Exeter and -area golf courses. Golfers and those who would like to have the opportunity to become interested in the game will have lots of chances at the two area outlets.. - Ron and Shirley Bileski have purchased the Exeter golf and country club facility from Allan and Hazel Westcott and are in the midst of making a number of changes and improvements. At the Ironwood layout, Gib' and Barb Dow are -making a number of changes to take care of the marry golfers expected to be out this summer. The .Bileskis come to the Exeter golf and country club from Dryden where Ron was pro manager of the golf and curling clubs. He has been a member of the Canadian Professional Golfers Association since 1968. Ron Bileski said this week he will be enlarging the greens, con- touring ontouring the fairways, establishing a driving range and later in the summer will be creating a Targe putting green complete with sand traps. A junior golf clinic is being set up for beginners and the ad-- vanced youngster. These classes are expected to start the first week in May and run each Monday until the current school term is over. This will provide seating for over 100 peple with a total capacity of 150 including the patio. Dow continues, "We have an ongoing cu►urse expansion program for the additional nine holes which is progressing well." SN gymnasts fare well at OFSAA event Members of -the South Huron District High School gymnastic team turned in an excellent effort in the weekend OFSAA girls gymnastic tournament at Variety Village in Scarborough. Coach Carey Eddy said Monday, "They did extremely well placing in the top third overall as a team. There were 58 competitors in each event from all over the province of Ontario." Lee O'Rourke and Marcie Ellison were the top individual members of the local team. O'Rourke was second in the bars classification with a score of 9.25. fourth in vault with a score of 9.10 and sixth in floor exercises on the strength of a 8.80 score in the senior category. Ellison placed sixth on bars at 8.65 and recorded scores of 8.30 on floor and 7.25 in beam. respectively in the intermediate division. Other intermediate competitors were Tracy and Mandl Fields and Jeanette Kaak. Tracy Fields record- ed a score of 8.13 on bars and Mandi Fields hit a 8.30 score on the floor.
