A time for singing
at Unitod Church
Palm Sunday a time of singing,
children singing in the story time. All
about the Bible even if the spelling
was wrong, the spirit was right and
the message of warship from the soul
acceptable. •
At LueantUnited Church Sunday
morning Mrs. Linda Froats, the
leader for this Sunday was presented
with a cross made from palm fronds.
commemorating Palm Sunday. Each
one of the children received one as
well. .
Rev. Darrell Shaule read the scrip-
tures Psalm 24:7-10 and Luke
19:28-413. This passage from Luke's
gospel gives us the complete picture
of the one Sunday; Jesus was «•elcom-
ed and treated as a King and ending
with "the people hung on every word
He spoke".
The gospels give us today ''every
word Ile spoke" by way of the writ-
ten accounts recorded for us there.
We must apply ourselves, read with
total concentration, study ..with
diligence and pray constantly. Only in
this way will we be prepared to meet
Easter Sunday and the power of Ilis
resurrection.
Our singing theme continued with
guest the "Medway Madregal Choir".
They were superb. lnspireil by an un-
seen source, a truly beautiful melody,
three different versions of Psalm. 100,
followed by a Canadian composer's
works called "A Small child". A clos-
ing anthem rounded off their %'ery
meaningful program.
The logo for our church anniver-
sary is "coming alive at 125" and this
has been beautifully and skillfully
made for us by Mrs. Gwen Lynn. This
scarlet and gold hanging is gracing
the front of the church and is ex-
tremely effective. Do come to visit
and enjoy with us this work of art.
