Kindergarten Fitness Program" in physical educa-
In our class we have been looking
for signs of spring. We spotted some
robins in the school yard, and our
class noticed some buds on the trees.
Outside everyone has skipping
ropes and balls on the playground. We
made kites and windmills.
We planted seeds and we hope they
come up soon. Our reading buddies
helped us make spring baby booklets.
We are very happy spring is here.
Grades 1 and 2
Through films and filmstrips and
books we are learning about the
universe, sun. stars, moon, earth and
other planets. We are looking for the
big dipper on clear nights.
Spring activities will be observing
signs of spring, birds arriving from
the south, buds busting out into
blossoms and leaves, flowers growing
and green grass.
We are practising for the "Canada

The predicted winter weather, I for
one was hoping might avoid us, is
back in full force. Hopefully you
haven't packed your winter clothing
in moth balls for the summer.
The movies shown last Monday
evening were "Upper Canada
Village"and_"Stampede". Now that
daylight saving time is about to begin
on the weekend, the length of time we
are able to show the films may be
limited.
We were pleased to welcome the
choir from the Christian Reformed
church on Tuesday evening which is
always enjoyed by our residents.
Residents out visiting during the
week were Mr. Aaron Gingerich, Mr.
Fred Teeter, Mrs. Mary Gerber, Mr.
George Grenier, Mr. Stephen Molnar,
Mrs. Fern Love and Mrs. Ruth
Taylor.
The residents have appreciated the
Pleasant weather so that they could
enjoy their walks around the
driveways and get their fresh air. For
this week at least. they may have to
remain indoors until the weather
improves.
Everyone has been very busy dur-
ing the week enjoying the activities
available for them.

our views regarding various
chapters. The discussions were most
educational.

This month our class went to see a
play 'Jack and the Beanstalk' at St.
Boniface. We were very curious to see
how Jack was going to climb the
beanstalk. It was very funny when we,
saw a big giant in the middle of the
stage. We all thought it was a great
play .
On Friday March 13, we got our se-
cond term report cards. Also that day
we got out one hour earlier for the
March break.
