Zurich Town and Country Inter -
town men's team advanced to the
semi-final round of the play offs on the
weekend by eliminating St. Marys 39
to 9 in St. Marys and 3312 to 1412 at
Zurich.
Jack Fuller set the pace for Zurich
with respective a 1200 and 1257 for a
-five-game-score along with six wins
and a tie in the match play •format.
,Murray Bennewies added 1181 and
1258 totals with seven wins.
Other Zurich scores were: George
Love 1195 and 1185 with four wins:
Neil Beureman 1156. and 996 with
seven wins.
Zurich won the team total pinfall
with 14,004 to 12,525,. and will now
meet Goderich in the semi-finals. •
(1V Five -Pin Sun Bowl •
The regional finals for the 210 and
under Tournament were held this
weekend in Mount Forest. Previous-
ly the zone roll -off was held in Zurich
with individual bowlers winning in
their own average category. These
winners were Chuck Doxtator. Hen-
sel]. Pattie and Howie Green, Grand
Bend and Mel-Edwardsand Ilelen
Nesbitt of Kincardine. This team has
won the regionals and now will ad-
vance to the Provincial Finals in
Cambridge on May 9. Congratulations
and good bowling.
Jane Eagleson of Exeter was the
winner of the •Giant -Bowling Pin
drawn at the Zurich Lanes on
Saturday.
Mixed High -Low Tournament
This past Sunday the second of four
Businessmen's Tournaments were

Matthew and Mary -Lou Denomme
along with their son and daughter-in-
law Francis and Cindy Denomme en-
joyed getting out to supper on Sunday
to the Bayfield Village Inn, as Mary -
Lou had previously won a weekend
for two at the Inn through the Zurich
Fair last summer but had the misfor-
tune of falling and breaking her leg as
she has been in a cast for the past cou-
ple of months or more. Arrangements
were made for the couple to have a
delicious dinner. They would like to
thank the Inn for their hospitality.
They also celebrated Francis and ('in-
dy's 10th wedding anniversary' on
April 2.
The family of Tony and Adeline
Denomme enjoyed gelling together
on Saturday evneing and having a
delicious Chinese supper in Exeter
celebrating Tony's birthday.
This past few weeks the children at
the Bean Sprout Nursery School have
been taking turns bringing a friend
along to school with them:

at St. Boniface C.W.L.
'l'he .C.W.L. held their monthly
meeting March •24 after the evening
mass-. Father Mooney and 30 ladies
were in attendance.
President Bridget Groot thanked all
who attended and took part in the
World Day of Prayer. She also com-
mended those who joined in for the
Day of Recollection on St. Patrick's
Day.
The Bean Festival quilt• was
donated arid it only look about four
days to finish quilting at the
Maplewood Apartments. Sincere
thanks to all who helped.
Madeline Gelinas donated . an
afghan for the bazaar. It will he used
. in a draw as first prize. -
St. Bridget's Parish in Logan is
—hording a Day of Recollection on_ April
1 with Mass beginning at 9:30 a.m. If

The Diocesan Convention will be
held in Windsor at the I loliday Inn on
May 5 and -6.

Special Olympics
Last weekend London hosted a
bowling 'Tournament for the Special •
_-Olympics at (he--Flectway Forty
Lanes in that city. Nine bowlers from
the .Zurich Lanes competed; with a
total of 140 bowlers participating. •
- Tom Masse placed fourth in the
men's category and Jean Rolston
placed seventh in the Ladies' division.

more. Ile invited the ladies to come
to London for tho Mass of Chrism.
Bishop Sherlock will celebrate a Mass
for all the new Catholics from all the
'different parishes at St. Peter's
Basilica,Apri1.30. A social will follow
the Mass.

poem. "f don't have the time". Great
food for thought.
Diane Gerstenkorn from The
•Flower =Basket • - in -Hensall
_demonstrated arranging a fresh
flower bouquet. She also • gave us
some valuable tips on how. to keep
them beautiful longer. Everyoneen-
joyed her creation and also her lesson -
in bow making.
The beautiful bouquet was the door
prize and the lucky lady -who won was
Mrs. Agnes Regier of Zurich.
