Ladies volleyball classes begin Tuesday, March 31; golf
lessons get underway Monday. April 6 and competitive swim train-
ing for youngsters wishing to get back into Shape for summer start

bid to end the series.
The Hawks sat• out 1:3 of the 22

the tlawks through age.' Completing
their careers were captain Dave

mermans and Steve Batten.
All other members of the team are
eligible to return although some may
be lost as players move on to higher
educational pursuits and other
interests.
Despite the loss to Brussels. the
current season was most successful
for the I lawks after they failed to even
make the playoffs the preceding
season, which was one of their worst
on record.
The locals couldn't put together any
consistent string until the end of the
season and that carried them into se-
cond place. They ousted the defending
champion Seaforth ('entenaires in
four straight in the division semi-final
and were given a good chance of
beating the first place Bulls in the
final.
Ilowever, two costly injuries to high
scoring forwards George Pratt and
Scott Bogart took a lot out of the
locals' scoring punch and two con.

in St. Marys
Saturday the Exeter Optimist
F:aglcs travelled 10 St. Marys to pair
Iicipate in the bantam spring break
tournament. Exeter played three ex-
citing hard games and walked away
with the 'A' championship.
The first game had Exeter meet
host team St. Marys. who jungwd out
to a Iwo goal lead in the first period.
1n the second iwriod Exeter carne
hack with goals by .ramie Bedard
from Jamie Tonnes and Todd 111c('ann
from Peter I.erikos.
St. Marys added one to go ahead
again and then Exeter countered with
two goals by Peter Lerikos. one
assisted by Ilenri Dcllruvh mid the
other by Laurie Chalmers. This gave
Exeter a one goal lead.
The third period saw St. Marys
score twice to regain the lead. Late in
the third Ilenri Dellruyn scored to tie
up the game and send it into
overtime. -
A scoreless five minute overtime
was played and thegame went into a
shoot-out with each team picking one
player to take the three shots..
Justin ('harrette held SI. Marys to
one goal in the shoot-out and the Si.
Marys goalie was no march for the
deadly shot of Henri DeBruyn who
netted all three shots for the win. The
game M.V.P. picked by the SI. Marys
coach was Jamie Bedard.
The second game had.Exeter meet
Dorchester. Exeter jumped out 10 a
quick one goal lead in the first period
on a goal by Ilenri Dellruyn from
Peter Lerikos and Shawn Ileywood.
In the second period Dorchester tied
it up at one.
The game remained scoreless un
til late in the third period when Todd

send Exeter to the finals. The game

seconds into the game. A minute later

The second period saw hard close
play and remained scoreless.

from Peter Lerikos and Glen Quinn.
