A "cottage" meeting was held on
Monday March 16 al 7:30 p.m. in the
church basement. Rev. Roherl
.lohnsen from Baden, the interim
minister for this charge. conducted
the evening. We split into three
groups and held contests to find ot.t
abtnit each other. We learned tha-
listening is important, and that we
niUsl gather and hold it'formalion.
Bob lied read a scripture lesson
Iron1 Luke and' Al Hoggarth read
Irons Corinthians. Ideas were
leathered front these present as to
what church means to people.. We
then discussed 'the strengths and
weaknesses. hopes and dreams of the
congregation. Several questionnaires

Lunch and a social time followed
the sleeting.

A Mystery auction took place with
Mona Alderdice as auctioneer,
assisted by Thea Wisch and Margaret
I loggarth. The sum of $56.75 was rais-
ed in a very short time. •
Lunch was served by Rena
Caldwell and Dorothy Bell. Courtesy
remarks were given by Frances
Kinsman.
Kipper United Church •
A special worship service was held
on Sunday March 22 at St. Andrews.
to celebrate the 25th anniversary of
United Church Women. • Frances
Kinsman was at the organ. Mildred
MacGregor led the service. The choir
sang "We've Something To Share".
Readings were given by. Susan
Faber, Helen McLean and Yvette
Binnendyk. Candles were lit by Mabel
Kyle, Pat Love and Lauren Love.

The area officer will be visiting the
lodge during the April 16 meeting.

describe our active week at
Queensway - busy, busy. busy! We've
had a variety of super programs we'd
like to -share with you.
As usual. Monday began with our
favourite past -time. Bingo. Once
again we had the pleasure of welcom-
ing to Queensway. (he I lensall United
('hurch ladies who have been running
our March bingo. We all had a very
,enjoyable afternoon.
Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. our monthly'
church service took place. This week
Rev. Vipperman conducted the ser-
vice. It was a lovely service, and we'd
like to thank Rev. Vipperman for
visiting us.
Since last Tuesday Was St.
Patrick's Day. we all came down for.
supper early to sing some good '01
. Irish songs songs to gel, into the spirit
• of the Irish' Thal evening. the Chris-
tian Reformed Singers once again
- visited us. They sang beauiful hymns
that followed an Easter theme. After.
we enjoyed a lovely snack. and had a
. chance to visit with.ourguests.
Wednesday morning everyone was
put through their paces during the ex-
ercise classes. In the afternoon the
ladies from the Zurich Mennonite
('hurch came to help us make
beautiful spring flowyetr''s� for our arts
and craft session. Eve1'yone did a ,
great job, and we'd like to thank the
ladies for the.delicious muffins that
they brought in.
Thursday morning our "movie of
the week" was shown. This week's
movie was called "For the rest of
your Life." 1l took us to several dif-
ferent resort areas by camper. and in-
structed us on how to go about trai en-
ing and planning a vacation by
camper. After the movie. several
residents took part in an exercise
class that is hopefully. getting us in
shape for the summer weather.
We topped off our busy week by
having fun and games on Friday
afternoon. We all enjoyed visiting
each other while engaging in a little
friendly competition.
As you can see, we've had a busy
week, but we've enjoyed every
minute of it, and wouldn't have it any
other way! That's it for now, hope

Explorers to sell
During the week of April 1 the Hen-.
sall Explorers will be taking orders •
for started pansies, supplied by Iluron
Ridge Acres. The plants will be
delivered during the first week of May
(weather permitting). With the pro-
ceeds the Explorers are working
towards a spring camping trip.
• Plants will sell for $1 per box t tax
included ► and money will be collected
at cite of delivery. If you are missed
during the door-to-door canvass, call
Marg ('ole at 262-2140 to place your
order.
The pansy was selected by the Hor-
ticultural Society during our centen-
nial year as Ilensall's floral emblem.

on Monday March 16. President Bren-

The Hensall Tykes hockey team
defeated Zurich on Saturday by a
score of-5-4.Scoring Hensall's goals
were Mark Bell with three, and one
each for Graham Keys and Jonathon
Campbell.

April 21. Any interested parent of
nursery school age children is invited
to spend a morning or afternoon in a
pre-school environment with their
youngster.
