a super time enjoying a little friend-
ly competition, while -enjoying each
others company.
Wednesday afternoon we held our
monthly Drawing Club, which is
always a very creative time. This
month's theme was, •naturally, St.
Patrick's Day. All the drawings turn-
ed out very Irish. very green, and
very good.
Thursday morning the movie of the
week was shown. This week's feature
was called "The Bamboo Brush." 1t
was about a young boy discovering
his heritage,„.and the importance of
him preserving it. -
At 2:00 p.m. we had the pleasure of
welcoming the Clinton 01' Time Band
to Queensway. We spent two great
hours dancing, singing and clapping
to many of our favourite tunes. We'd
like to thank the Clinton 01' Times
Band for putting on a terrific show for
Queensway.
Thursday evening we welcomed,
once again, the Beavers. All 19 of
them came to Queensway to visit us.

spring. It was a fun evening that
reminded us that spring is just around
the corner!
To round off our week we had "The
Sharing of Stories" on Friday. This
was a very special activity this time,
because we told each other about our
backgrounds. it was very entertain-
ing as well as educationpl.

Win prizesin poster contest
. Congratulations to the H.P.S. girls
who won prizes in the Farm. and
Home Safety Poster contest which
was spogsored by the Farm Safety
Association. Crystal Jones placed se-
cond in the grade 7-8 class and Min-
dy
indy Bell was third in the grade 5-6
class.
There were over 300 entries and the
judges had a difficult job. Mindy and
Crystal were awarded cash prizes at
a presentation last Thursday evening
at Clinton Public School.
Carnival
The Hensall Figure Skating Club
will be holding its Carnival '87 on the
evening of March 14 at 7:30 p.m. 'The
theme this year will he animal
characters. The skaters have worked
very hard this year so come out to the
arena on Saturday night and support
the club. -
Ilensall Hockey News
The dance sponsored by Hensall
Minor Hockey Association on Satur-
day was a success and a good time.
It was great to see so many
newcomers as well as the hockey
parents. -Everyone had an excellent
time dancing to many hits of the 50's.
60's and 70's.
The Minor Hockey pot luck'supper
and awards night has been changed
form April 7 to April 12. The lime and
details remain unchanged.
The Hensall Tykes defeated
Bayfield on Saturday by a score of 3-0.
Scoring lflensall's goals were Jell
Campbell, Christ Jones and Graham
Keys.
The Novice team travelled to
Howick to complete the just -for -fun
tournament which was snowed out
earlier. In their first match of the day
they defeated Belmore 3-0 with goals
by Chris Taylor (21 -and Ryan (manse.
The team ran into trouble in the se-
cond game and lost to Clifford by a
score of 3-2. Scoring for Hensall were
Ray Beierling and Blair Moir.
