So without further 'adieu'; here is a run down of last week's activities. Monday afternoon our weekly bingo was run by the Kippen United Church ladies for the last time this month. It was a pleasure to have the ladies here, and to have them help us out We appreciate it very much. Our weekly church service on Tues- day afternoon was extra special this week. Some pupils from the Ilensall Public School ran the service, and presented to us a very enjoyable and insightful service. We'd like to thank the students for coming in and spen- ding that time with us. Wednesday morning we stretched, twisted, pulled and limbered up with our important exercise routines, that snaps us into shape and make us feel real good. Then on Wednesday afternoon it was time for our monthly visit to the Zurich Bowling Lanes Where all of us enjoyed a game of bowling, as well as the beautiful weather that we've been having for the past several days. Queensway would like to thank Dorothy Elder and Iva Reid for volunteering for the afternoon. This month the highest female score belonged to Muriel Gunning who scored a bewildering 82. And for the gentlemen, Lloyd McDougall howled himself a super score of 119. Con- gratulations, Lloyd and Muriel along with everyone else who went, you all did a super job. Thursday afternoon it wa's time for our monthly birthday party. This month, we again had the pleasure of letting the Hensall Public School run this very popular activity. The students put on a lovely program of poems, plays and piano playing that entertained all of us. Thanks kids for coming in and putting on a real 'bir- thday hash!' The birthday party marked an end to the Hensall Public School (grades seven and eight) project. However we look forward to seeing several of the students back at Queensway on a JOINT BOARD The Consolidated Hearings Act, 1981 (S.O. 1981, c.20) Times -Advocate, March 4, 1987 Page 3A annual tourney volunteer basis. All the groups truly did a super job, and Queensway at this time, would like to send out a big thank you to all those who were involved. Friday afternoon it was time for some of the Queensway ladies to get together for our monthly Ladies Hour. It was a very'relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. Finally on Sunday afternoon Irene Davis brought in some slides and gave us a presentation on Hensall. England. It was amazing to see this -small village with the same name as ours; yet it was so different in many ways. Thanks Irene for sharing your pictures with us, we truly appreciate it. We'd also like to thank Lil Baker for coming in and helping us out on Sunday afternoon. Personals Mrs. Laird Mickle returned last week from a lovely ten day holiday spent at Port. Charlotte in southern Florida. Mrs. Mickle was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Warrener. She Filter enjoyed lovely summerlike weather and had a wonderful vacation in the sun.
