Carnival Committee Chairman Murray Insley says the carnival will open Friday night at the Kirkton- Woodham Community Centre when seven area girls will compete for the honour of becoming Winter Carnival Oueen. Last year's winner was Jill Burgin. The queen contest will be followed by a dance. A mixedsno-pitch ball tournament with eight teams participating is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Saturday. Saturday afternoon will be filled with a wide variety of novelty races for the youngsters, snowmobile races and other events with a dance in the evening with music supplied by the Royal Aires. A Saturday night dance will go with music supplied by the Royal Aires. Sunday morning at 9:45 in the com- munity centre.
