THE MEANING OF
CHRISTMAS
By DeAnn Foreman
Grade 6 -Zurich Public school
1 think almost everybody forgets
who gave us Christmas, and the true
meaning of it. Today nobody thinks
about Christmas as being Christ, but
it is. If it weren't for Christ, we
wouldn't have Christmas. I know it's.
hard to think about Christ when there
are all those presents under the tree.

With the green tree beside us.
Merry Christmas.
THE RESCUE
by Duane Brunzlow
Stephen Central
One Christmas Santa went out to
see how the elves were doing. The
elves were done early. They wanted
Santa to go early. Santa said no
because there was a storm. The elves
kept on begging so Santa went. He
rounded the reindeer up and hooked
them to the sled. Then the reindeer
pulled and pulled but the sled would
not move. Luckily the wheels made a
digger. They dug the sleigh out so
Christmas was saved.

Santa Claus is dressed red,
Right from his toes to his head.
Santa will travel with his reindeer,
To my little house when Christmas is
near.
Ile will come to my house on
Christmas night,
And eat our cookies by candle light.
I have to be good before Christmas
you see,
(h Santa Claus will never come visit
me.
CHRISTMAS
By Michelle Snow
(,rade 2 - Exeter Public School
' The night before Christmas there
wasn't a peep. The stockings were
laid, the children asleep. Suddenly
there was a bang and it was Santa. He
put the presents under the tree, and
was off again. The next day the
children were all excited because
they knew they were good children.
They had a very Rood Christmas
The Night Santa Fell
Through the Roof
by (leather 11'ragg
(:rade 1, Stephen Central
One Christmas Eve Santa came to
my house and fell through the roof, in-
to my room. 1t was cold that night and
I got up and stepped on Santa. He got
mad. I screamed.
In the morning an elf woke me up
and told me to feed the reindeer so 1
fed them. Santa got up and called the
reindeer to come into my room.
The elf was glad to see him awake
He was a nice fellow. His stomach
jiggled like jelly. I laughed. I ran
downstairs to see my presents. There
were Tots of them. Santa always went
through the door after that night.
