OUR CHRISTMAS TREE.
By Shane Freed' •
Grade a Hun Centennial
At first our ChrMtnas tree stands tall.
The chain saw sings, we watch it tall.
Then drag it through snow so deep
Into our snowsuits it does seep.
Through our front door we do tug
Our Christmas tree onto mom's good
Mother gasps thento shout.
"Look! Snow and needles all about."
Next comes setting it in the stand
Although, some how it ends up being
held by hand,
S are wrapped around the tree
a tacked to the walls
You'd think that would hold it but it
always falls.
Even though Mom reads tree light
directions
She always makes quite a few
corrections.
At last come the decorations
Time to make our presentations.
Favourite ornament in hand, we
begin to discuss
'Why this stupid bell is, important to
us.
No matter whether it's because of
Uncle BI11 or Aunt Bea.
• The stupidest reason always comes
from me.
Beautiful is the tree we gather round
And the work is done 'til comes time
to take it down.
CHRISTMAS NIGHT
By Teresa Haugh
Grade 54 Hensall Public School
On Christmas night when it snows
Down the chimney Santa goes
Heading for the Christmas tree
Bringing toys for you aritme,
Then he turns right around
And leaves without a sound.
