Enjoy bus trip to Geritol
A very nice and enjoyable bus trip
was had by several from town on
December 10 when we, along with
others from Dashwood and Exeter;
went to Hamilton and saw the after-
noon performance of the "Gerital
Follies" 1986 Christmas Frolics which
was just fantastic, a two -hours long
program put on by senior citizens who
sang and danced with so much pep
and enthusiasm which was held at the
beautiful Hamilton Place. Following
this we headed for Simcoe where we
enjoyed a delicious roast beef supper
which was prepared for us, and two
other buses full by the ladies at St.
James United Church. Afterwards we
picked up a guide and went on a two-
hour tour and Christmas panorama in
Simcoe to see the "Festival of Lights"
and Christmas decorations (and were
really nice and sure worth while go-
ing to see! ) The trip was organized by
Pearl Miller of Dashwood who was
also hostess on the bus. 1l was just a
great day.
The family of Kay and Morris Webb
held their Christmas dinner at their
home on Sunday. ,And the family of
Tony and Adeline Denomme held a
pre -Christmas get-together at their
home last Friday evening.
There have been several Christmas
staff parties recently. And on
December 6 Jerome and I along with
several others really enjoyed the one
at the arena which was catered by
Jerry Rader and his staff. The
evening was spent dancing to the
music of Mozart's Melody Makers
which was also just great!
Other staff parties that were held
this past week or so were, Tasty Nu
Bake Shop. dinner at the Bayfield
Village Inn: Westlake's Insurance in
London: The post office staff dinner
at Hessenland last Friday: and Dr.
Wallace Christmas staff dinner in
Zurich on Saturday. St. Boniface
School staff dinner was held at
Oakwood on Saturday followed by a
get-together at the home of Betty and
Dick Bedard.
John and Bernadette Denomme
along with her sister, Theresa Stark
recently spent a few days visiting in
Oakville with their sons and
daughters-in-law, Gerald and Meghan
