Wednesday they bombed Thedford 11-3 and Fri- day downed the Exeter Hawks 9-4. The Behnont club has one game in hand. ,Two hone games are on the schedule for the Irish this week. They host the Belmont Bombers tonight. Wednesday and Saturday night the Exeter Hawks will be at the Lucan Community Centre. Both games start at 8:15 p.m. Saturday's program will feature Lucan Minor Hockey Night. A minor hockey player will drop the puck to start the game, a novice game will go between the first and second periods and during the last intermission members of the Lucan figure skating club will perform. Last second failures in Saturday's loss to Mount Brydges, the Irish fell apart in the last few seconds of the first 'and second periods as the opposition scored on power plays. Each team scored three goals in the first period. The game was only 25 seconds old when Joe Febrey con- verted a pass from Scott Denomy and a minute later Al Deplanchey counted on a pass from Jesse Crawford. 'fhe first period was fairly even with Terry Knowles and Brad Muir counting for the Irish and Scott Love replying for Thedford. The Lucan club increased their scoring power in the middle stanza as Paul Barnes fired two successful shots and Wayne UrtAott scored a single marker. In the first half of the final session. Jesse Crawford, Dean Schram and Dean Doerr fired goals and then Wayne Urbshott took over and put three shots behind .the Thedford goalie in a span of only five minutes. The first two Exeter goals were shot by Marty DeBruyn with assists going to Eric Clay, Adam Jean, Chris McDonald and Ben Guenther. The winning goal came from the stick of Chris Lerikos on a three-way passing combination with Brent Urlin and captain Jeff MacLean. Both St. Marys goals were registered by Jeff Richardson. The Exeter tweens won a ringette game Saturday in lfensall as they defeated Forest by a score of 6-2. Becky Morgan was the top scorer for the Exeter girls with a two goal performance. Scoring in single fashion were Jayne Rowe, Becci Far- quhar, Julia !Werner and Bryden Gryseels. In the playmaking department, Merrier was best with three assists. Farquhar assisted on two scores and. Julia Webster helped set up one goal. 41( The Exeter III novice team scored a 4-2 victory over Lucan in a houseleague game Friday in Lucan. The first goal of the game was fired by Jamie O'Shea of Lucan on an unassised effort in the second period. Near the six minute mark of the final session, the Waxers shifted into scoring gear. Scott Inson registered on a pass from David Farquhar and a minute later captain Rob Lynn put his team ahead to stay on a solo dash. With a minute to go in the game, Willy Partridge tallied what proved to be the winning goal with assists go- ing to Ryan Fulton and Gavin Poole. fn the last 51 seconds of play, Bryon Ellerington connected on a pass from Scott Inson for the Exeter club and Mike Urbshott scored for Lucan with the assist going to Kelly Campbell. The Exeter Big V Bullets remain undefeated in the Lambton-Middlesex pee wee houseleague. Thanks to a superb effort in Strathroy Saturday with a 3-0 win, the Bullets now have six victories and a tie in seven starts. In the first period, Mark Lynn started the Bullets off in a scoring way with an unassisted goal.
