Bantams victorious
over Parkhill 3-2
The Exeter bantams won their on-
ly start this week in the Shamrock
minor hockey league by a score of 3-2
over Parkhill and were eliminated in
two straight games in a tournament
in Clinton.
The winning goal against Parkhill
was notched by Bruce Papple with
assists going to Larry Lewis and Jeff
Chipchase.
The other goals came as Mark Bur-
ton converted a pass from Doug Clark
and Dave imple registered on an
unassisted effort.
In the tourney in Clinton, Jeff Chip -
chase notched the only Exeter goal on
a pass from Larry Lewis in a 4-1 loss
to Dresden.
The second game saw the locals
lose 4-2 to Milverton. Dave O'Connor
converted a pass from Frank
Wulterkens and set up Doug Clark for
the other score.
Pee weer in third
The Exeter Legion Auxiliary pee
wees are currently in third place in
the seven team Shamrock hockey
league with a record of five wins,
three losses and one tie in nine starts.
In games remaining, the_pee wees
are at home to Strathroy tonight,
Wednesday at the South Huron Rec
Centre and the following Wednesday'
St. Marys will be in Exeter to supply
the opposition. December 12 the Locals
travel to Lucan.

Campbell helped on two goals for a
six point night and single assists went
to Sean McCann, Scott Parsons, Steve
Farquhar and Gavin Snell.
The Exeter Broncos extended their
unbeaten streak in the Shamrock
hockey league this week to eight
games with three straight victories.
Saturday they downed Parkhill 6-1,
Sunday it was a 6-3 win over Goderieh
and Friday they blanked Parkhill 8.0.
Joel Campbell scored both Exeter
goals in the first period in the initial
win over Parkhill with Derek Beckett
getting the only assist. Kevin Leyton
replied for Parkhill.
The Broncos broke the game wide
open with three unanswered goals in
the middle stanza as Gavin Snell, Jefl
Lingard and Derek Beckett fired suc-
cessful shots. Trevor Taylor pickeo
up two assists and helping on one goal
apiece were Beckett, Snell and Ryan
Stuart.
In the third period, Ian Jean com-
pleted a three-way passing combina-
tion with Sean McCann and Paul
Charrette.
In the 6-3 win over Goderich, Joel
Campbell was again the leading scor-
ing light with a hat trick perfor-

In Friday's regular action in the
Exeter Legion mixed dart league,
Helen Parsons recorded the high
score for the ladies of 126 and Duff
Rothbauer had the men's high of 119.

Waxers blank Hensafl
In their only goal action this week,
the Exeter Waxers chalked up a 6-0
exhibition novice division win over
Ilensall.
The only goal of the first period was
notched by Brent Urlin on a pass from
Marty DeBruyn.
The Waxers upped their lead to 4-0
in the middle frame. Urlin notched his
second score of the game on a three-
way passing combination with Chris
Lerikos and Adam Jean.

from Ben Guenther and Ryan Soldan
while Guenther set, up Jean Tor a -

In the third period, Marty Debruyn
fired two successful shots to complete
the Exeter scoring. The only assist
was credited to Erie Clay.
Lucan wins
Lucan defeated the gxeter II RSD
Sports 5-0 in a Saturday Lambton-
Middlesex novice houseleague hockey
game.
Brent Belamy led the Locan scor-
ing attack with a two goal effort while
single scores were fired by Dave Rid-
dell, Adam Duskocy and Rob Silver.
