Queensway news
We began our week with our
vigourous exercises regime, which
really help us to wake up after our
relaxing week -end. In the afternoon
we enjoyed another exciting hour of
Bingo, with the help of the Hensall
United ChurchLadies, Unit 1. Thanks
again, ladies, for all your help.
We still had a very special treat in
store for us later on in the afternoon!
The Explorers from Hensall United
Church came over to give us an ear-
ly showing of their Halloween
costumes and sing a few songs. We all
had a super time girls, thank -you very
much for coming to see us!
We had the pleasure of welcoming
Mrs. Shirley Luther back to
Queensway for our Tuesday church
service. Together we talked about
several things and sang some of our
favourite hymns.
On Tuesday evening the Christian
Reformed Singers of Exeter came to
entertain us with their selected songs.
It was a great way to end a perfect
day.
Wednesday at Queensway was a
very very busy day. In the morning
the Health Care Aides from Con-
estoga College put on an early Hallo-
ween Party. To help us celebrate the
grade one pupils from the Hensall
Public School came over to sing a few
"scary" tunes, and share their super
Halloween art work. After the enter-
tainment, we all enioved a piece of a
beautifuly decorated Halloween cake
that was brought in by the Health
Care Aides for all to enjoy.
Wednesday afternoon was our mon-
thly bowling adventure to Zurich.
This month Muriel Gunning was the
ladies' top scorer and Neil Regan cap-
tured the mens' top score for October.
Once again we would like to thank Iva
Reid and Dorothy Elder for all their
help.
Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. our
"Movie for the Week" was City of
Gold. It explained the ups and downs
that Dawson City went through dur-
ing its prime gold rush season.
To end our busy Wednesday, the
Zurich Mennonite Ladies came in to

sing hymns to us. After they enter-
tained us they served a beautiful
lunch consisting of cheese and
crackers with several different kinds
of fruit. Thank you, Helen Gingerich,
Grace Martin, Dianne Zebr and Dawn
Erb for coming in and entertaining
us!
Thursday afternoon was Ladies
Hour once again. This time we
decorated pre -made muffins with
orange icing and chocolate chips to
make pumpkin faces. It was a
delightful afternoon.
To finish this busy week we had our
monthly Resident Council meeting.
Several important issues were
discussed and it was a very produc-
