Leadley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Leadley of Welland, to John
Comer, son of Mrs. Helen Comar, and
the late Mr. Comar, of Welland, at the
Church of Christ, in St. Catharines.
Dinner and reception followed at the
Canadian Polish Community Centre.
Attending from here were, Eva and
Milton Sweitzer, Mrs. Marilym
Pickering and her grandchildren,
Jennifer and Justin Pickering, Mrs.
Doris Sweitzer, Bonnie and Jason
Erickson, Jim and Marg Sweitzer and
their children, Jeff and Amy, also
Sandra and Jim Campbell and
daughters, Kim and Kelly of Exeter.
Kim and Kelly, nine year old twins,
were pretty little flower girls at their
cousin's wedding.

Cliff and Velma Russell, of
Dashwood, (former Shipka residents)
attended the 50th wedding anniver-
sary celebration, Sunday, for Cliff's
sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Winston Baldwin, of Cottam.
Open House and dinner was held in
the Knights of Columbus Hall, in
Essex.
For anyone interested in the Shipka
or Greenway area, you are invited to
attend anniversary services,
November 2 at Grand Bend United
Church at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. when
Rev. Stan Desjardine, a returned mis-
sionary from Tanzania, will be guest
speaker. At the evening service he

ing in Africa. There will be no service
at Greenway United next Sunday,
November 2.

4H Club News
The "Milk Shakers" 4H club of
Grand Bend 1I held their fifth meeting
at 7:45 p.m. October 20. We began
with the 4H pledge and the roll call
was answered by "Name a dessert
made from ice cream".
Leader Joan Love, began to read
and help us on a test on ice cream.
Pam Dietrich read about the history
of ice cream, how it developed and
products things such as the ice cream
soda, ice cream sundae, ice cream
machine and the ice cream cone.
