The worship ser- vice and guest speaker were very in- teresting and the lunch was superb. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Jeffrey, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rohde and grand daugthers Tammy and Karen Rohde attended the dance for Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Thomson at the Lucan Com- munity Centre, Friday evening. Anniversary Church Service A fair crowd attended the anniver- sary church Sunday morning service with Robert Matheson in charge. The guest preacher Rev. Charles Henderson of Exeter told the children astory entitled "The White Squirrel. Special music was supplied by Eric Kints on the guitar, Bill Rowe on the guitar and Ray Cann on the violin. Eric and Bill sang several numbers which were much enjoyed. Rev. Henderson read the Scripture frdm Hebrews 11:1 -10; 12 1-2. His sermon was entitled "Heroes of the Faith" which was inspiring. The church was decorated in the Thanksgiving Theme of vegetables, ms and a begonia. • Anniversary at Crediton By MRS. STAN PRESZCATOR Happy Anniversary to Clarence and Grace Fahner who celebrated their 44th anniversary on Friday, Oc- tober 17. Sympathy is extended to the fami- ly of the late Ward Fritz. Mrs. Allan (Irene) Finkbeiner lost her sister out west. Sympathy is ex- tended to her family. Jim Barnes and Jenna, Parkhill were supper guests Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Stan Preszcator. Visitors during the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Preszcator and family were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Smith of Hazelton, Pennsylvania. Mr. and Mrs. Smith accompanied the Preszcator family to Tilbury to celebrate Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. William Priestly and family. Mrs. Eileen Robbins of Hamilton visited Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Preszcator and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Smith. The sermon topic at Crediton 'United Church was taken from Acts 16;1-16 titled "The Man Whose Goodness_ Was Not Enough". Choir practice is Wednesday even- ing at 8:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The Women Aglow will meet Mon- dayi-October 27 at 8:00 p.m. in the Zurich Public school, speaker will be Angela Richardson. In hospital at South Huron is Mrs. Hannah Lamport. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Preszcator and senior citizens from Dashwood join- ed in with seniors from other districts to a Zone Rally at Dungannon,Thurs- day. A very enjoyable afternoon was spent. Crediton and District Social Club Hallowe'en dance will be held on Saturday, October 25. Reg Freer will be supplying the music. Come dress- ed up. "Prizes will be given". The home of Mr. and Mrs. Dawson Hayter and family has been purchased by Gerry and • Marg Fergusson, Becky and David of Exeter and the Hayters will take up residence in Grand Bend. The village store owned by Mr. and Mrs. John Raine has been sold and will be known as S and N's Variety. They plan to open it by November 1. So watch next week's ad for the grand opening. The house owned by Mr. and Mrs. Len Jolly on Richmond Street has been sold and the new owners of Keegan's Inn plan on serving meals when the place is redecorated. We wish them all success.
