Junior footballers
win in the mud
The SHDHS junior football team
played a very wet and mucky game
on Thursday in Palmerston. They
won the game 19-0 which now makes
their record of league games three
wins and no losses.
Scoring touchdowns for the Pan-
thers were Jeff DenOtter with two
and Rob Wonnacott with one. Frank
Wulterkens kicked a convert.
DenOtter ran 236 yards on 13 car-
ries. On his first touchcown he ran 55
yards and ran 80 years for his second
touchdown. Coach Dave Cox was
pleased with DenOtter's second
touchdown, a Panther sweep, because
the play was done exactly how it was
set up in the playbook. Wonnacott ran
12 yards on his touchdown.
Wulterkens completed four passes
out of seven for 80 yards.
The offensive line played well. Ear-
ly in the game, Norwell, with the help
of a penalty, came back to the eight
yard line. The defence took over the
ball on their second yard line and
DenOtter ran for his second
touchdown.
Chris Haugh led the defence with
eight tackles. Glen McBeath also
played a good game.
The juniors travelled to Toronto
Tuesday for an exhibition game at
Upper Canada College. They also
play a league game Thursday in
Clinton.

then 6-0 for the Panthers.

Fisher for another six points. The con-
vert pass attempt was intercepted but
the Panthers were ahead 12-0.
In the second quarter the South
Ifuron squad struck again when

trell made a fumble recovery. Cottrell
also led the defense in key tackles
with four. Throughout the game the
defense did not allow the Redmen on
the South Huron half of the field.
The offence led by Scott Miller
moved the ball exceptionally well.
They had a good mix of passing and
running and also executed each play
with good results. They utilized
