Senior panthers get easy win
The South Huron senior Panthers
football team downed the visiting
Listowel Lords by a score of 32-1,
Thursday. This was a game in which
the team wanted to win big.
The Panthers scored in the first
quarter when tailback Bill Fisher ran
indor a seven yard touchdown. Tim
Moore kicked the convert to make the
score 7-0.
In the second quarter South Huron
was again pounding on the Lords door
step but were unable to get in. This
gave Tim Moore the chance to try a
field goal and he made the three
points to give the Panthers a score of
10-0 at the end of the first half.
The Listowel Lords scored their
lone point on a kick-off single.
The Panthers struck back on a
seven yard run by quarterback Scott
Miller for an additional six points.

Named to board
Clarence Denomme of Clinton has
been appointed to the Huron County
Housing Authority, Alvin Curling,
Minister of Housing, announced
recently.
Denomme, the owner of a furniture
business, will serve as a provincial
representative on theseven-member
;authority that manages Ontario Hous-
; ing Corporation's 415 assisted housing
units in the Huron County area.
The federal, provincial and
municipal governments nominate in-
dividuals for appointment to the hous-
ing authorities by provincial orders -
in -council. The province appoints the
housing authority chairman.
The day-to-day management of
OHC's 64,000 housing units is carried
out by local housing authorities,
although the primary responsibility
for assisted housing remains with
OHC.
Curling said: "By volunteering
their time to serve on the local hous-
ing authority, private citizens such as
Denomme are helping to ensure than
Ontario's assisted housing program is
sensitive and can respond to the needs
of the many communities it serves."
